Despite the difficult circumstances due to the war, work on the project does not stop, and in the next year, 2025, you will see "What I love" in cinemas, on television and VOD platforms!

We will remind you that the production of the "What I love" anthology started at the beginning of the director course in 2021 and currently includes 23 short animated films united by one theme.

These are the theses of filmmaking students who seek to speak to the world through their creativity. The authors and directors of the project are:
Daniela Kareli, Tina Singa, Liudmyla Zymomria, Yulia Skibiniuk, Valerii Lifyrenko, Olena Turska, Mariia Lytovchenko, Andrii Tsizh, Alina Stetsenko, Daria Hnylytska, Dmytro Kolot, Kseniia Smirnova, Yaroslav Kutichenko, Tetiana Babanina, Polina Vetchynkina, Yuliia Oleksenko, Nadiia Doichev-Butt, Nadiia Kovalchuk, Svitlana Kovalska, Anastasiia Tereshchenko, Denys Tymofieiev, Yuliia Kotsiuba.

"What I love" is our voice not only to the international animation community, but an appeal to the whole world that there is "something" that is even stronger than war and thanks to which we live and continue to create. And this "something" is Love!

"What I love" is the reflection and awareness of Ukrainians about the things that fill life with meaning. This is definitely a deep and authentic project in terms of storytelling, because it is created by people who face loss and death every day.

Each of the stories is unique, like an imprint of the author's soul, and has a unique picture and voice. And this is precisely the strength of the project, its beauty and versatility.

Also, if you are reading this and realize that you also want to speak to the world about something important through your creative works, we invite you to study at the Projector online institute: recruitment for the 2024/2025 year for Oleh Malamuzh's course Animated Film Direction is currently underway.

Oleh's open lecture on the Animated Film Direction course at the third comment.

During a fight, a young man in a state of affect removes his alcoholic father from reality with the help of a mysterious Remove app. However, it was not so black and white, as the memory of the time long past reminds him of their shared grief. Perhaps there is a way to fix what has been lying broken for so long?

Her brother, the only one who loves her, dies from the fangs of the devil. The dog gets older but still she can’t forgive herself this tragedy. In the middle of the woods she meets a wolf and together they continue to go forward. After so many years the devil finds her again but at this time she can’t let him take another soul she loves.

Despite the difficult circumstances due to the war, work on the project does not stop, and in the next year, 2024, you will see "What I love" in cinemas, on television and VOD platforms!

We are reminding you that the production of the "What I love" anthology started at the beginning of the director's course in 2021 and currently includes 16 short animated films united by one theme.

"What I love" is the reflection and awareness of young people about the things that fill life with meaning. This is definitely a deep and authentic project in terms of storytelling, because it is created by people who face loss and death every day.

Each of the sixteen stories is unique, like an imprint of the author's soul, has a unique drawing and voice. And this is precisely the strength, beauty and versatility of the project.

There are seven graphic styles in the animated film «I removed Him» and this style in particular is one of them. It is meant to underline the ambiance the characters live in.

In this video you can also find a lot of locations and concepts that were developed during the preproduction process. To find out which one of them made their way to the final project watch the animation after its release.

It is so cold and lonely on such a rainy autumn day. How can one leave a little puppy alone out on the street?
But don’t be afraid the pup won’t stay abandoned - little Emmie won’t let him freeze!

Meet - Daniela Kareli!
❔💻💜
But they call her not just Daniela but also Hanna, Dania, Anna. 😊
She is a part of a project «What I love» as a director of the short film «I removed him»

❔She worked on a TV-broadcast for 4 years but everything's changed the moment she finished the «2D animation» course by Oleg Malamuzh.

💻 When Daniela started to study a classic 2D animation she didn’t even new how to draw but in 6 months she already managed to get a job as an animator in commercial project.

💜 She studies Japanese language and her grand plan is to get a job at the Japanese animation studio Madhouse so she could see all the production process from the inside out and use what she learns there to create her own animation studio.

Meet Mila Zymomria.
❓ 👩🏻‍🚀 💙

She loves science fiction and cats. Although there is no place for cats in her story «Alive», her love for science fiction has found its reflection in it.

❓A graphic designer and an illustrator in the past, she had to go a long way in order to finally find her place in animation.

👩🏻‍🚀 Thanks to Oleg Malamuzh and Projector Mila has discovered an amazing world of 2D animation and despite being a newbie in the industry she’s already got a few commercial projects in her portfolio.

💙 Her biggest dream is to see Ukrainian 2D animation on all of Europe’s big screens. Of course she’s got to be one of its makers.

Meet Yulia Skibinjuk!
❓✏️💛
The year 2022 turned out to be difficult for all Ukrainians, but the life goes on. New ideas and projects are born, and last but not least the children are born as well. This year Yulia has given a birth to a boy, her first child, but also she is creating her first animation project "Through my eyes".

❓ During her childhood Yulia was adoring Disney characters and was dreaming about animation. When she grew up and started her career as an artist in the gamedev industry she realised that she could actually become an animator herself.

✏️ The course in Projector with Oleg Malamuzh gave here the knowledge to kick-start the work on making her dream come true - her very own animation project.

💛 In the future Yulia wants to teach animation and to create animations with kids and about kids. But for now she is creating her first project together with her son, lulling him while working.

It’s a time-lapse of one of the shots for the film “Through my eyes”.
Director is Iuliia Skibiniuk.
Five years ago her ordinary morning started like that. She ran along Spaska street or Horiva street, dived into the subway and then was daily routine.

But that was charming routine, decorated by Podol vibe, when every morning was wonderful and at the evening after work she was walking along the cozy streets, hanging out at a cafe or on the riverbank, not intending to go home.

Several shots in her short film “ Through my eyes” are dedicated to Kyiv. It is a declaration of love. That is how she sees Kyiv energetic and charming. Stay tuned and you will know where the spell is hidden.

Burial rites are a unique ceremony that brings generations together in honouring the memory of the loved ones.

During the childhood, the main character of the animated film «I removed him» experiences a trauma of loosing the most important person in his life. This changes his perspective on death and the after-life. He is yet to realise that death is not a tragedy, but a temporary state that results in a future rebirth of a new life.

See what form it takes in a short animated film «I removed him».

Meanwhile we’re showing you a breakdown of a scene you might’ve seen in the trailer of «What I love» Anthology. The scene where the wheel of pain is making its yet another turn.

Please watch, comment and share your feedback!

Each discovered planet is a new opportunity. It is our choices that determine whether we use it to enrich our knowledge about the universe or to extract resources and destroy it.

Luna has to go through a painful experience to make her choice on the crystal planet. See what she did in the short animated film "Alive".

And on our side we are happy for the opportunity to offer you a sneak peak behind the curtain of our internal "animation kitchen" and show you the step-by-step creation of the entire anthology "WHAT I LOVE".

Here comes the first episode: the live video showing the process of creating of one of the scenes from "Alive".
