Polygon Mastering is an independent mastering operation run by Derek Snyder.
As a young multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and performer, Derek began recording and mixing local bands around his native Seattle area before studying Music Production & Engineering at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
After Berklee, he moved to New York and got his professional start assisting at one of the last major recording studios in Manhattan: the legendary MSR Studios.
Seeking sunshine and a return to the West Coast, Derek moved to Los Angeles and began his work in the film and television industry, earning credits working on Justin Hurwitz' Academy Award, Golden Globes and Grammy award-winning Score and Soundtrack for La La Land and his Golden Globes award-winning Best Original Score for First Man, in addition to credits working on Deadpool 2, and Showtime's Shameless.
