hello friends! calling out to the universe for more taiwanese folk music nerd friends 🤓😎🙏🎶 i started a space over at if you’re into taiwanese folk music, hokkien language music, vintage vinyl, 1960s music. i’ll be sharing my vinyl collection and other finds over there. i’ve been super grateful to have met a handful of taiwanese vinyl collectors over on threads already who have been so generous to point the way to flea markets and other spots for treasure digging 🥰 so hope we can all geek out together and maybe even have in person vinyl meetups in the future!

the first wave of my vinyl collection here in kaohsiung was from the first few weeks i moved to taiwan last year. at the time, i thought i was just visiting for a few weeks so i was feverishly searching the whole island for 台語老歌 😆 once i decided to stay in taiwan one of the first things i did was get my beloved columbia gp-25 vintage japanese 3-in-1 player from my friends over at so i could actually listen to the records haha

over time, i’ve located a handful of sources for vintage taiwanese vinyl since i exhausted the local record shop selections. most shops will usually only have one or two bins of taiwanese records! lately i’ve had alot of good luck buying directly from the older generation’s personal record collections. i’ve been slowly cataloguing my vinyl so i thought it would be fun to organize and share digitally.

my technics has just made the voyage from jersey to kaohsiung and i’ve been having fun building out a home set up, so stay tuned for the upcoming inaugural salt district vinyl mix! 😌🧂📻💽🎶
