Jazz in the Islands updates its brand

Jazz in the Islands serves as a fillip to the dearth of collated information on Caribbean Jazz CD releases, artists and reviews of festivals and showcases in the Caribbean featuring this fusion exercise we call “jazz.” This music never gets old so the joy in reminiscing is real and productive.

The Magazine – print and digital – is dedicated to compiling and reviewing Caribbean jazz music, musicians and festivals throughout the islands. Throughout the print edition of the magazine, the reader will see a sampling of album releases from up to a decade ago with embedded QR codes for scanning with a smart phone app that links one directly to the purchase point of the album. (Digital editions have simple click/touch and go links.) The magazine is published by Jett Samm Publishing and is free and distributed in print in Trinidad and Tobago and the islands, and online to the world. Request an Advertising Media Kit.

The Blog — subtitled Jazz and other sounds in the Caribbean — include thoughts, impressions and criticism. It is a collection of critical appraisals of music performance and recordings from the Caribbean, and opinions on the business of music here. This blog also serves as an extension of the Jazz in the Islands magazine.

Island Jazz Chat is a Jazz in the Islands podcast featuring conversations with Caribbean jazz and panjazz musicians based in the islands and the diaspora. Powered by iRADIO.tt
