I kept asking myself over and over again how I would feel when the time came for my biological father’s passing, especially since he’d been in the hospital for several weeks. This morning, I woke up to the news that he had passed away. Recently, I’ve been on a deep healing journey, working to confront my trauma, striving to become a better person, and refusing to let my pain turn into more bitterness. But today, I realized that no amount of healing could have fully prepared me for this moment.

The devil truly is WICKED. Why? On September 20th, 14 years ago, I lost my biological mother, and for years, I grieved for what I wished I had. This month, I worked harder than ever to heal, forgive, and move forward—and I succeeded. But now, before the month has even ended, I am facing the loss of my biological father. Oh September, what are you doing to me?

I still don’t know how I feel about hearing the news—maybe my emotions haven’t fully sunk in yet.

I am so grateful to my spiritual father, Apostle Dwain Dyer & Apostle Josanne Aliby Dyer, for taking me to an all-night prayer session on Monday night. I’ve been wanting to go to church for a while (y’all know I been posting about wanting to go to church), and it happened right when I needed it the most—just one day after the one day I decided to go to church and gain some strength I woke up to this news.

Ramkoomar Boxer, rest in peace💐🕯️. I’m still unsure of my emotions right now, but today, I pray for nothing but the strength of God to carry me through.

Lord, whatever it is you are doing? Not my will but your will be done.

P.S. The reason I was afraid of how I would feel about my biological father’s passing is because, after my biological mom died, I spiraled. I turned to drinking, partying, getting piercings, and tattoos—I was completely lost, both mentally and emotionally. I didn’t want this loss to push me back into that dark place. I kept asking myself, how much worse could it get?
