Really said to hear of the passing of Hilary Alexander, the fashion editor for The Telegraph. She was a wonderful writer, a real champion of new talent, a champion of women and a really really wonderful woman, so gentle, humble, and also passionate and funny. I was fortunate to be at many events she was covering and often had a little chat with her whilst we were waiting for something or other to start of end. Fashion seems to involve a lot of waiting, but the waiting is often where you meet the best people and she really was one of the best people. May you enjoy your well deserved front row seat and VIP pass in heaven.

Lawyers for Lawyers, Lawyers' Rights Watch Canada The Law Society of England and Wales and the International Bar Association's Human Rights Institute published a statement about the arbitrary prosecution of Hayet Eljazer and Ayoub Ghedamsi. Mrs. Eljazer and Mr. Ghedamsi have been charged with “insulting a public official from the justice system” in connection to their legitimate professional activities. We call on the Tunisian authorities to immediately halt the criminal prosecution of the lawyers.

On Wednesday 12 October 2022, the first hearing in the case against Hayet Eljazer and Ayoub Ghedamsi took place. 250 lawyers, including representatives from the Tunis Bar were present at court to show solidarity with the two lawyers. The next hearing is yet to be scheduled. If the lawyers are convicted and sentenced, they would face between two months and six years of imprisonment.
