একজন মানুষের জন্য এর চেয়ে বড় দুর্ভাগ্য আর কী হতে পারে যে, মানুষ তাকে এড়িয়ে চলে শুধু এই ভয়ে যে, তার মুখের ধারালো কথা যাতে শুনতে না হয়!
কাউকে শারিরিক বা আর্থিক ভাবে যুলুম না করেও, অনেক নেক আমল করার পরও মানুষ তার সংশ্রব এড়িয়ে চলে শুধু এই ভয়ে।

আবু বকর সিদ্দিক (রা) মাঝে মাঝে আফসোসের সাথে নিজের জিহবা ধরে টানতেন আর বলতেন, এর কারনে কত মানুষ জান্নাত থেকে জাহান্নামে চলে যাবে!

রাসুল (স) ইরশাদ করেছেন, এ উম্মতের সর্বাধিক সংখ্যক লোকের জাহান্নামে যাওয়ার কারন হবে তার জিহবা। - সুনান তিরমিযি।

তিন ইঞ্চি একটি গোশতের টুকরোর কী ক্ষমতা! শত নেক আমল ধুলিস্যাত করে দিতে সক্ষম। মুহুর্তেই, চোখের পলকেই!!
