Topic: The Blood Cover

By: Takyi Benedict Yankyerah.

*Joshua 2:18* – _Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind *this line of scarlet thread* in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father's household, home unto thee._

The walls of Jericho came down but not totally! The force of God's wrath released through the shout of God's people came against it's walls and sent them crushing down, however, one family house kept a part of the wall standing because of the scarlet rope Rehab hang on a window; the very window that she led the spies through down the wall.

The two Hebrew spies remembered how they were saved from death in Egypt by the blood of the Lamb and gave Rehab a similar direction, a red/scarlet rope over her window. This was the condition, if only her family members would stay inside the house which had the scarlet rope covering, they would be saved from tragedy. Dear God's-own, lots and lots of troubles and storms are hitting people all over the world, take a lesson from Rehab, keep your family under the cover of the blood of Jesus, in prayer commit all your dealings and endeavors under the blood of Jesus and see thousands fall by your side and ten thousands at your right hand, ...it cannot come near you because of the blood.

Shalom.

3rd December, 2017 (Sunday) – Seek To Know

By: Tetteh patience Our main text (Proverbs 24:5) informs us that to increase in strength, one must always be after knowledge because the truth you know will set you free when you encounter mountains in life. Your knowledge of who you are in God and His provisions for your victory are evident in God's word. Knowledge is the reason why two different Christians would react very differently to the same harassment of the devil. [ 64 more words ]

By: Amankwatia Emmanuella Jeremiah 17:9-10 – "The heart deceitful above all , and desperately wicked: who can know it? The LORD search the heart, [I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings" The verse above gives description about the nature of the heart of man. It states that the heart of man is deceitful and wicked above all things but when God wants to reward us, He first search through our hearts then test our minds and base on that He rewards us according to our ways and the fruit of our deeds. Topic: "Nepios"

By: Takyi Benedict Yankyerah.

1 Corinthians 13:11 KJV When I was a child, I spake as a child, I as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

The Greek word translated *child* in this verse is *nepios* and we want to learn something from the sequence of Paul's phrases. From the way he arranges his statement we see one very noteworthy characteristic of a child; a baby christian;- they speak, then they try to understand what they said, before they think about its consequences. Childish Christians always find themselves saying something they shouldn't have said and it happens almost everyday.

There is one verse in Proverbs that sound so beautiful to me; if a fool is able to hold his tongue, he is wise. As children of God, He has placed in our spirits instincts that pulls within us whenever we are about to say or do something we aren't supposed to, until we are able to realise that 'feeling' and obey it, we will always be proving our childishness in every speech we make. Paul has moved on from this childish behaviour, let us too with all God's grace available to us learn to hold our tongues and grow up thereby.
Shalom.

Topic: Overcoming Temptations

By: Antwi Angela Gyanwaa

James 4:7 "Therefore submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you".
The Bible makes us know that the only way we can flee from sin or temptations is to resist. Temptation is a strong desire to do something usually something *bad* which leads us to sin. Temptations can be in any form either strong or weak but whatever the case is we should be able to resist. For God has given us *self control*.Temptation doesn't only come from the devil, but also from us. In most times, where our desire is, the devil tempts us in that way. When we are being tempted, we shouldn't say God is tempting us. For God cannot be tempted with evil nor does he tempt anyone. Each one is tempted by his own evil desire. (James 1:4)

There is a difference between temptation and test. Test is done for the quality of human resource. God test, and the devil tempts. Test is not to bring out failure but temptation is. (Exodus 17:2)
Jesus was tempted three times but He overcame all those temptations because:
1.He applied the word of God.
2.He resisted the devil.
3.He was ministered to by angels (Mark 1:13).
We can also flee from sin or overcome our temptations by:
1. Resisiting the devil (rebuking bad thoughts)
2. Renewing our minds
3. Submitting to God
4. Knowing ourself.(which will help us know our weakness so that we don't venture what can make us fall).
Let us study the word of God and apply it daily in our lives so as to resist the devil's orchestrations and temptations and manipulations. Amen.

– Our Heavenly Father

By: Takyi Benedict Yankyerah Matthew 6:8 - "Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father in heaven knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." Many names and titles point to the One and Only True God, our God. However, Jesus in his earthly walks revealed a very dear means with which we can address this Our God, He has been God to all the great men of old but to us something more special, … [ 167 more words ]

Topic: The need for Fellowship Meeting

By: Antwi Gyanwaa Angela

Ephesians 4:11-12 _"And it is he who gifted some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, and still others to be pastors and teachers, to equip the saints, to do the work of ministry, and to build up the body of the Messiah"_

Some believers do have the habit of forsaking fellowship meeting and give excuses to support their claim. Some even go to the extent of misinterpreting scriptures to justify themselves for their actions. But let us Today examine what scripture says. Fellowship was instituted by God as seen from the relationship God had with man in the Garden of Eden and no man can thrive by himself without some form of fellowship. GOD the HOLY SPIRIT gives ministerial gifts to believers as stated in verse 11, the purpose of these gifts is made known in the verse 12. That is, firstly, to do the work of the ministry. Whatever your gift is, it is to help saints in populating God's Kingdom. That is to say, they are to help in the ministry of reconciliation entrusted to us.

Secondly, the gifts are used to build the body of Messiah. It is mostly at church that the use of these gifts is made manifest for the benefit of other believers.
Thus, you forsaking meeting implies:

1. Denying a member of the body of Christ to be imparted by your God given gift.
2. Denying yourself from being imparted by by other believers
3. Denying yourself from fellowship with God, celestial beings, etc. Hebrews 12:22-23 reads _"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect."_

In such an atmosphere, it is easy to receive the spiritual blessings given us in Ephesians 1:3. Therefore brethren, the summary of the whole matter is that, the Church is meant for the perfection of saints.
Shalom!
