Of course, working from home eliminates the stress of having to deal with an over-demanding boss or overly social coworkers. For most digital nomads and folks that work from home, Covid-19 might have little to no effects on them or if they are affected by the quarantine it is definitely less than the office workers, to say the least.
If you are someone who isn't familiar with working from home you might find it difficult since 15 different distractions are literally waving at you trying to get your attention. And no, we're not only talking about La Casa Del Papel on Netflix but also your comfy bed, Instagram, Tiktok, and family members. Some people gain motivation from socializing or being useful to their colleagues and find it hard to stay productive during the quarantine.
To make 'working from home' work, we have gathered some useful tips for you today,
1. Stick to your routine
If you used to wake up at 7 am trying to set an alarm as if you still have to go to the office and get ready, you don't have to wear a suit and put loads of makeup on but don't stay in those pajamas!
2. Get rid of those distractions
If you live with your family, get them on board. Let them know that you need privacy and a quiet space for work. As of mobile phones, put it in a different room or far from you and your laptop to reduce the amount of time you check the phone as much as possible.
3. Download some productivity apps
We recommended Remente, It's not only good for tracking your todo lists but also a good habit tracker and overall an application to help you become a better version of yourself.
4.Set up your home office
Incorporate your own style in setting up a home office will increase your productivity and make working at home more fun. Put the small plants on the table, stick that calendar on the wall, have a nice soft rug underneath your desk, lit up the candle that smells like eucalyptus, you know the drill. Most importantly, Ensure Your Home Office is a Dedicated and Private Space.
But always! your health comes first so don't forget to take a break to stretch or take a dog for a quick run after work. It seems like the only person that's living the best life during quarantine is your dog, after all, no more waiting for you to come home!
