OS - EdUbuntu 24.04.1 LTS
"Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom"
~ George Washington Carver
Freedom for every classroom. A stable, secure and privacy conscious option for schools. This is a official Ubuntu distro focus in free education operating system and apps.
Let's take a look into EdUbuntu 24.04.1 LTS (long term support)
It comes with some previous bugs and not yet been fix by Ubuntu for I think two years now. I couldn't recommend for new comer or new to Linux-based operating system. Until it is fixed. But I could recommend this EdUbuntu to those who are a season user or have been using for some time that they are not afraid to use the terminal to fix some bugs.
EdUbuntu 24.04.1 LTS can be downloaded at this official website. https://www.edubuntu.org/

Linux App - OnlyOffice all in 1 office app
The best thing in Linux is free. Freedom to use. My fellow teachers are asking what are the alternatives for Microsoft Office. Some telling how to fix Office suite / apps. Others like my Aussie friend asking how to deal or dodge with monthly subscription from Microsoft. I always tell them. Just use Linux apps or Linux based apps or FOSS apps. FOSS refers to free and open source software. But prefer to just Linux (based) apps. Just like this one. An office suite / apps that let you use it for free to solve the PDF (portable document file) from editing for free / freedom to use. Word processor for your documents. (Powerpoint) Presentation that feels like the popular app or even the spreadsheet (Excel). The solution is OnlyOffice office suite / app. The all in one app. All four (4) in one FREE app that you can also connect you to your cloud account service.
Download is for free at https://onlyoffice.com and look for "Get OnlyOffice" on the top center tab and hover over it. Then, click over the ONLYOFFICE desktop free app and click the preferred operating system (Windows, Mac & Linux). So download it now.
Note: don't go to any random website.
Go to the office Website or Office Linux App Center.
