We've been a bit quiet on our social media due to having visited home.

Thankfully, we had videos ready to air every Tuesday.

It was so nice to see our families and friends. We met our new grand baby. Apologies to those that we couldn't fit in. It was very bitter-sweet having to leave. 😪

We landed in Chiang Mai yesterday afternoon and had to put a jacket on. It's cold.🥶

We didn't take footage of being back home in Australia (Gopie took a nap for 2 weeks) because I wanted to enjoy people and our reunions.😁

We celebrated our good friend Tony's belayed birthday by doing a rooftop Halo tour of the Optus Stadium here in Perth.

It was very interesting. I would recommend it for those who are ok with heights.

After a relatively stressful arrival last night, a few drinks because we deserved them, and about 4 hours sleep, we are off again.

We are so pumped to see our family and friends.

This was one of those spur of the moment things. We normally have breakfast at home.

Stories is one of the places that is regularly visited by tourists. It's clean, consistent and air conditioned. Not to mention the proximity to Thapae Gate.

We are heading back home to Perth at the end of the week for a fortnight. We haven't been home for almost 2 years, so we are super excited to see family and friends and to meet our new grandbaby. 👶

After the floods, the cars that aren't moved to higher ground are cleaned.

There is a place in Ruam Chok that will strip your car, take the seats out and clean the internals. It's called RC car wash.

The Sunday night markets are still being held tonight.

We took a ride to have a foot massage and are currently sitting at Fruitaday, where we like to have a fresh blended juice and people watch.

We left our village this morning to join some friends for breakfast, and the flood waters were returning.

We returned and they were out of control.

What a beautiful sunny day.
The water has receded off the road so as to not soak us, so out and about we go.

We went to the Bai Orchid and Butterfly Park. One butterfly perched on my hand and wouldn't move. It was outside the enclosure. The butterfly had a bit missing out of its wing, but could fly ok.

We spent time filming some content, sat in their cafe with a nice teng-moo each (Blended Watermelon with no sugar) and headed to Supha Bee Farm. We did the rounds unsupervised in 5 minutes and went searching for a nice cafe.

Dave pulled into a place called Yody Coffee and family restaurant.

This place is very unassuming. We thought we were at a little coffee place, when the lady handed us two menus and ushered us into an area that looked like someone's premises.

What we found inside blew our minds.
I will be editing the video footage later today so you can see it on Tuesday.

It was a pleasant little drive to Mae On. 🚘

We had lunch at Tharnthong restaurant and finished it off with a nice piece of chocolate larva icecream cake, while Dave had a cheeky slice of espresso icecream cake.🍰

We felt like kids again. 😆

We are amazed at how many abandoned places we come across here in Chiang Mai. Everything from a residence to a massive mall.

As foreigners, we have so many ideas regarding how these structures can be rebuilt, renovated and used in a profitable way, but that's the way it is here. Out with the old (gone and forgotten), and in with the new.
