Vijit Chao Phraya 2024: A Dazzling Spectacle Illuminating Bangkok’s Iconic Riverfront
From 16 November to 15 December, Bangkok’s riverfront will come alive nightly, with 7 iconic landmarks across 14 key locations illuminated by light displays, laser shows, projection mapping, Thai cultural performances, and fireworks as part of the “Thailand Winter Festivals” celebration

Highlights of Vijit Chao Phraya 2024 Include:

Rama VIII Bridge: Light and sound displays with laser artistry and musical accompaniment (16 November – 15 December, 6 shows daily).
Royal Navy Institute: Dynamic laser displays and soundscapes (16 November – 15 December, 6 shows daily).
Wat Arun: Awe-inspiring light and drone display celebrating the temple’s heritage (16, 17 November and 15 December, 1 show daily; 24 November and 1, 8 December, 2 shows daily).
Wat Kalayanamitr: Laser shows, cultural performances, and fireworks (16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30 November and 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15 December, 2 shows daily).
Sunanthalai Building (Rajini School): Projection mapping with light and sound (16 November – 15 December, 6 shows daily).
Memorial Bridge (Phra Phuttha Yodfa): Illumination, lasers (16 November – 15 December, 6 shows daily; and fireworks (16, 22, 23, 29, 30 November and 5, 6, 7, 13, 14 December, 1 show daily).

Loy Krathong 2024: A Festival of Water and Light
Loy Krathong, or the Festival of Lights, is one of the most popular festivals in Thailand. Originally a ritual to honor and seek forgiveness from the Goddess of Water, the festival is celebrated across the kingdom, illuminating entire rivers with candlelit krathong.

he event is held annually on the night of the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar, this year falling on November 15th, 2024, coinciding with Chiang Mai’s Yi Peng Festival.

In Thai, the word loy means “float” and krathong means “container, boat, or vessel,” hence people float a krathong decorated with candles and flowers onto rivers and canals (or anywhere with water!).

รถเมล์นั่งสายที่มาสายใต้ใหม่ เช่น 28 539 124 515 บริการสอบถามเส้นทางรถเมล์ 1348 เเล้วขึ้นรถตู้ มินิบัส NK 997 นครปฐม ที่ท่ารถทางด้านซ้ายของสถานีลงที่ตลาดนครปฐม

Follow us to walk around the temple fair near Bangkok for 9 days and 9 nights at the Phra Pathom Chedi Fair 2024, Nakhon Pathom, or the Phra Ong Festival, the annual Phra Pathom Chedi Worship Festival of Nakhon Pathom Province. It is held every year. Come worship the Phra Pathom Chedi and apply gold leaf to the Phra Ruang Rojanarit Buddha statue. This year, the event will be held from November 12-20, 2024. It is a grand 9-day, 9-night temple fair. At this temple fair near Bangkok, travelers can come and relax!

Take the bus to Sai Tai Mai, such as 28, 539, 124, 515, ask for bus routes at 1348, then take the minibus NK 997 Nakhon Pathom at the bus stop on the left side of the station and get off at Nakhon Pathom Market.
