The Pot, calling the Kettle, BLACK!

In recent times, we've seen the PDM administration ridiculing the current PNP government over issues they themselves once failed to address when they were in power. It's a tale as old as politics: finger-pointing and blame-shifting while real progress is sidelined. Both the PDM and PNP have repeatedly shown they’re more interested in political games than in delivering real, lasting change for the people.

It’s easy to criticize, but when the PDM had the opportunity, they too fell short of the promises made to the people. Now, they stand on the sidelines, mocking the current administration for the very things they left undone. This back-and-forth leaves citizens stuck in the middle, constantly hoping for leadership that will prioritize their well-being. Yet, time and again, both parties seem more concerned with their own interests and power than with genuinely working for the people.

The truth is, neither party has consistently shown they are willing to put the people first. They criticize each other for political gain, but when the chance comes, they sell out the very people who entrusted them with leadership. What we need now is more than just hope; we need accountability. It’s time we stop expecting politicians to deliver change and start demanding it.

Keep voting Yellow or Blue , and see what will happen to you!!

The problem is, when we expect too much from unqualified, uninformed, self-centered, and corrupt politicians, we set ourselves up for disappointment and disillusionment. These individuals often lack the expertise, vision, and moral integrity required to lead effectively. Their decision-making is often driven by personal gain rather than the public good, resulting in policies that serve the few at the expense of the many.

Hoping that such leaders will prioritize the needs of the people is not only naive but also dangerous. It distracts from the real work of holding them accountable and fostering a political culture that values competence, integrity, and transparency. The more we place our trust in these unfit leaders, the more we enable a cycle of mediocrity and corruption that harms society as a whole.

True change requires us to demand more from our leaders—to insist on qualifications, informed decision-making, and a commitment to the common good. We must be vigilant, informed, and unafraid to challenge those who fail to meet these standards. Only then can we hope to build a political system that truly serves the people.

Misappropriated taxpayer funds, particularly for unauthorized pay raises, can have several negative economic impacts. It may lead to budgetary imbalances, affecting public services and infrastructure projects. This misallocation of resources can hinder economic growth by diverting funds away from investments that would otherwise contribute to development.

Additionally, it erodes public trust in government institutions, potentially leading to reduced taxpayer compliance and increased resistance to future taxation. The economic consequences are intertwined with broader issues of governance, accountability, and transparency.

If my previous take-home pay was $3,500.00, taking into consideration it included allowances which totaled about $960.00, that would mean my basic pay was $2,540.00.

When you give me a 38% salary increase, and remove the allowances which were previously given, my new take-home pay is $3,505.20, a percentage change of 0.0014, which is less than 1%. But, when you get a salary increase, the percentage change is 33.9%. How is that the case?
