𝚋𝚢 𝚁𝚞𝚜𝚑

Yearly the day 1 May marks an important holiday world wide, May day, international workers day or labour day as some may call it. The holiday was established on the 1st of may 1886 in the United States of america, when the American Federetion labour union organised a strike with the aim to get an eight hour work day.

It was later adopted all over the world as a holiday for recognizing the contribution and achivements of workers, promote worker's rights, combuct explotation and forster initiatives for better work conditions.

To neighboring countries such as the Republican of South Africa its a day to celebrate the role played by trade unions, labour movements and the comunist party in the straggle against apartheid.

To Eswatini though it is a harsh reminder of the devestating effects of the minimum wage set by the government. Working conditions in ESwatini's private sector are exploratory at best with the lobour laws setting the minimum wage very low and labour unions are either unbothered or in competent to lobby the government to increase the minimum wage and better work conditions.

To ESwatini it reminds us we still have a long way to go in term of creating enough jobs for all.

How It All Began: LiBhuza laNgwane

Look at yourself, if u are of the working class and lower chances are you are depressed, your means of earning a living can not sustain a living, and may make u feel like you work not for a living but work so u could afford to work, I am not working and I try to run my business and am also a depressed youth and I can not see a future in this regime. The road to political freedom which we ordinary citizens hope will bring financial freedom and fair opportunities, has proven to be very long and it seems we have a long way ahead still. Interesting to see what took a day to do is now taking years to undo, but how did it happen in the first place. Here is how King Sobhuza lead us here.

In 1967–68 Swaziland with a lot of help from King sobhuza achieved independence from Great Britain, with a limited monarchy and an elected legislature. This was because Great Britain refused to grant the governing of a county a single person so Sobhuza created the Imbhokodzo National Movement a political party which dominated the political scene in Swaziland, other political Parties existed especially the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress (NNLC) led by a Swazi Medical Doctor, Ambrose Zwane, Its appeal to the working class threatened the dominance of the King’s Party in the 1972 elections. The eventual winning three parliamentary seats by the NNLC signalled the beginning of the end of multipartyism in Swaziland.

Less than five years after gaining freedom (in April 1973), seeing the threat posed by the NNLC King Sobhuza used a private army (Umbutfo) that he had secretly raised and equipped, Sobhuza suspended the constitution, dissolved the legislature, outlawed political parties, and assumed supreme power to rule. Stating that since alot of Political illiterate Swazis of the 1960s and 70s have voted for him it meant they wanted a King and that the Constitution adopted on independence had failed to provide for the machinery of good governance and the maintenance of peace and order. the Constitution was the cause of growing unrest, insecurity and dissatisfaction and was an impediment to free and progressive development in all spheres of life; the Constitution had permitted the importation into the country of highly undesirable political practices alien. Basically he did a palace coup.

A new parliament (Libandla) was established in 1979, but it was elected without political parties and its role was merely to draft bills and present them to the King to pass and also to serve as an advisory body. This is how we got here a man raised an army and then delivered a speech and then took all power. Ironically this is the same strategy I think would work to reverse every thing. Same times the simplest way is the one that works, the thing though is change of regime does not necessarily mean a better life for us ordinary citizens, so the prospect of regime change excite me and scare me at the same time, as it should anyone.

Business Idea: Feedlots

We were talking with a friend once about business opportunities and he said you will never go wrong with food, people eat on average three times every day and eat meat products at least once a day. So it stands to reason that if one would make it into the food market, especially meat market the would have made it business wise, so today I would like to discuss a business which has interested me for a while now 'Feedlot'

What is a feedlot
A feedlot is a business with the aim to increase the amount of fat gained by each animal as quickly as possible; if animals are kept in confined quarters rather than being allowed to range freely over grassland, they will gain weight more quickly. Feed lots do not necessarily have to deal with cattle, but can be pigs and chickens and these three are the ones which picked my interest. These animals are kept in pan or house where they are feed specific feed for three to four months in the case of cows and pigs and up to two months for chicken. After this they may be sold alive or slaughtered and sold as beef, dressed chickens and pork which is labor intensive but also by far the most profitable.

Getting started
The most expensive investment is first the land where these animals will be kept then then the animals and feed. Which is why it is best to go into this business with other people so that you can share the resources and it also gives you the best chance of breaking into to the tough to pe*****te meat market. With cows nearing maturity costing any where from E8,000.00 to 16,000.00, piglets costing less than E1,300.00 and chickens about E1,800.00 per 100 chicks it is truly a big investment but the rewards are also as great as the investment, making the benefits far outweighing the risk. So say for example one had the land for such a business they would the invite others to join them and rise the money to procure piglets or chick and the business would grow from there.

Market
Go into any modest supermarkets and you will find about three types of chicken potions brands so your product would have to either be cheaper or offered a different kind of niche like being organically raised chickens, any thing to ensure that you have a 6 month presence in the market because that all it takes for people to get used to your product. You can approach local shops and offer to supply them, or franchise supermarkets which will require flexible payments methods and even you renting out a shelf for you product.

If you would like to hear more about this business please get I touch with me and I will gladly explain it in further details.

THE ULTIMATE WARDROBE INVESTMENTS

T-shirts are like a second skin to me, I wear them more than any other top in my wardrobe simply because they go well with a lot of other items. A much as am eternally grateful to the clothing gods for the basic t-shirt though, at the the end of the day the are not really that cool. There are clothing item that are so versatile they catapult your wardrobe from basic and average to amazing height of coolness and here are these amazing wardrobe investment you should consider for your wardrobe.

The statement blazer
Scroll through a fashion magazine and you'll undoubtedly see photos of women sporting oversized and tailored blazers. And for good reason. This is one item men and women can wear everywhere, with almost everything from jeans and chinos to dresses and skirts. You can ask anything from a blazer and it will deliver, it can double as formal wear for those interviews and business meeting and can work great for those casual events where u wear it over your perfectly fitting t-shirt.

The perfect jeans
Every wardrobe needs at least one pair of jeans that fits you perfectly. A relaxed, straight-leg style will look great with everything from flats to sneakers. It may be trick to chose from all the available choices but Choose a mid-tone dark blue for the most versatility. For the best fit, opt for a style with a bit of stretch, or elastane, woven into the fabric. Jeans are good for putting the casual in the the blaze, it just tones it down to simply clean but great looking casual look.

The everyday sneaker
Whether you go for the all star or a sport sneaker a dressy pair of sneakers looks fabulous with everything from denim to maxi dresses. Invest in a well-made pair and they'll last for years, possibly even decades, if you take care of them, yeah I have been sporting my current Chuck Taylor All Star for two years and I abuse these thing, which speaks to how reliable these shoes are.

With a new fashion trend entering the vernacular almost every week, it can be tempting to try to keep up with them all. But a closet stocked with investment pieces won't just elevate your style—it will make your outfit selection much simpler. And by investing in quality, well-made clothing that you can wear over and over, it'll also provide you with a sustainable wardrobe.

BUSINESS IDEAS: Product Suppliers

With the wide spread adaptation and access to the internet doing business is getting easier and increasingly competitive. In just 5 minutes you can make up a post with a great picture of your product or service and it will be seen by hundreds if not thousands of uses, but the competition is high because we are all gravitating towards the same business. So I write the articles to try and open young people's eyes to other business opportunities.

WHAT IS A PRODUCT SUPPLIER
Supermarkets do not do the farming of vegetables and fruits themselves and some of these fruits and veggies are sourced so far it would make no sense for them to travel to Mozambican for example to get bananas or garlic. That is where individuals like yourself came in, you can approach the fruit and veg supervisor for a couple of supermarkets with a sample of your product and find out if u can supply them with that product, they will introduce you to the managers and if it is a product that is resell-able at a profit it's more likely than not they will agree. We have supplied potatoes, sweet potatoes, lettuce, garlic, green pepper, pork and even pre-cooked beans.

Even if these items are available in Swaziland if u can source them cheaper or better yet farm them your self you can supply that to supermarkets like Pick and Pay, Spar Buy and Save you name it. But the source is important because these shops make large orders and frequently, hence your source should be reliable if not they will move on to a reliable supplier because each day they don't have that product in store because your source has run dry or the product is still not ready in the farm they are loosing money and if the product is really performing but your are lacking the may even take the sourcing of that product in house and you lose out on business.

You should also do same research it you will be sourcing from other countries because some places are infamous scammers and very shady dealing like Moza... Probably should not name names. You would be amazed how many veggies and fruits are imported into to the country, even the basics potatoes, tomatoes and carrots from Jozi, garlic, banana and oranges from Mozambique when they are not I seasons in Swaziland. So do ur research on the product, transport and the supermarket you are supplying, basically research the whole supply chain.

You will need to know how the supermarkets you supply work and how the pay their suppliers because some pay after a forth night and some after a month, most will require you to have a receipt book so you must be familiar with their terms and conditions. Also you must be good at negotiations because both of you are looking to make maximum profits so negotiations may become cut throat. Lastly and I do not condone this or advise you to do it but the sake of preparing for your pitcher to the supervisor the may be talks of bribes and I Mention this purely because I have came across it a lot and the first few times I was blind sided by it.

These articles are to give information on businesses ideas and strategies, if you enjoy them like the page because there is more to came.

WOMEN'S WARDROBE ESSENTIALS

One young lady once told me "the only BS I need is Bags and Shoes," which lead me to ask what are other women clothing essentials. Looking back at my track record with the ladies I can not claim to know how they think or their fashion sense, so I approached a wise women who I have known for ever and trust know every thing there is to know on the subject and no it's not my mother, it my sister. To get a wide range of input though I also questioned a group of lady friends.

So how do u build a wardrobe that endures and does not call for an overhauling every season? The short answer: Basics, for your wardrobe to be able to bring valve to every appearance not just today but a year or two from now it must be smart, minimalistic and staples-centric. Here is is a list that will not include underwear and accessories

1. Basics T-shirts
2. Turtlenecks sweatshirts
3. Body suits
4. Quality leggings
5. Skinny and straight -leg jeans
6. Slip skirts
7. Office pants
8. Custom and sun dress
9. Sweaters and hoodies
10. Jackets and blazes
11. Trench Coat

SHOES
1. Flats and loafers
2. Sneakers
3. Heels
4. Boots

I definitely have not named all the clothing a woman should have but I believe these are the items that will make your wardrobe Versatile and stand the test of time. If you go for quality, good fit and the right colors on these items you will not go wrong because these per well weather it's a party or interview or daily work wear they will do. Hand bags are a topic for another day because we would go on all day naming the totes and clutches, but a take away from this article is when building your wardrobe go for comfort, fit, versatility and quality.

Thanks to all the ladies who helped in this article, below are some Printrest for your inspiration.

Mens Essential Clothing Items

I am probable not the most qualified person to be writing this article so take it with a grain of salt. I am of the male gender though so I am talking about some thing I have experience on. So let's get to it, when purchasing clothing items for your closet remember fit is king, so know your size and your body type. Select comfort and quality over trends, if you can go for custome made clothing and I now you are thinking am nuts because that would be expensive but u would have thunk wrong, most of my round/crew neck t-shirts, sweaters and joggers are custome made by a guy who sews these items in Manzini and they are way too affordable compared to the shops, they fit great and are very comfortable because they are made with my measurements in mind but most importantly they I made from quality materials I hand pick myself in local fabric stores.

THE LIST
So my closet is not perfect and because we are different people with different tastes what works for me may not work for you but when talking about basic men's clothing essentials I think I got it covered. We will not list accessories and underwear.

1. Three crew neck t-shirts
2. Two polo t-shirts
3. Two formal dress shirts (white and navy)
4. Two Jean pants
5. Three chino pants (black, navy and brown)
6. Two sweatshirts
7. One hoody
8. Two Jogging pants
9. One leather jacket
10. And a blazer.

SHOES
1. Per of All stars
2. A per of formal leather shoes (brown)
3. Two trainers

And there, these are my clothing items and you may notice that some clothing items are not listed like denim shirts or formal trousers, well it's all personal and we don't prefer the same things like I don't like formal trousers so I substitute them with my chinos and I have nothing against denim shirts and I think they would be a great addition to my clothing closet.

In conclusion when shopping for clothing make sure to by not the label tag but quality and fit, so you can be comfortable wearing it and give you confidence.

Here are some Printrest for inspiration.

Tenbergen's Kitchen

Written by: Editor

Tenbergen's kitchen was a ghost restaurant located in Manzini Tenbergen street and I know what your are thinking, no the were no ghosts working there. Ghost kitchens are a foodservice businesses without dining areas that offer delivery and, occasionally, takeout (www.webstaurantstore.com). It began in late 2019 as Hell's Kitchen because the owner was inspired by legendary chef Gordon Ramsay's signature restaurant in New York USA, but after some complains from customers the owner changed the name to Tenbergen's kitchen because it was located in Tenbergen street.

HOW IT WORKED
The menu was pap, quarter chicken and two salads, so the day began with the chef walking around the market in Manzini looking for fresh veggies for the salads and later a visit to Spar Supermarket to buy the chicken quarters and occasionally 10 kg of maize meal. At about 8 o'clock in the morning the chicken would be marinating and the pap would be cooking away, all the while the chef would be from time to time be disturbed by the buzzing of the phone with customers placing orders. "Orders used to start coming in at about 7 am when I had finished sharing posts from my page and they came from everywhere, Facebook, Whatsapp and calls" said the chef.

MARKETING
As a true ghost kitchen working out of an office building in Manzini most people got to know Tenbergen's kitchen from their daily posts which were shared to as many as 25 groups per day. "First thing I did when got to work was read through the comments from the post I have made the previous day, I used that as feedback for the service and get a sense of what people wanted. One of the lessons I learned from this was that people did not like the name 'Hell's Kitchen' so I changed it, because since they are the ones supporting it is their business at end of the day and am just running it. Then after that I would make a new post which I put a lot of thought and research in and I would share it to the groups on my Facebook account and I did that daily which really annoyed some people and am sorry for that lol" explained the chef laughing.

DELIVERIES
Lunch deliveries started at 10:00 am, by then everything would be ready and I would be planning my delivery routes for the day. Some of my loyal and frequent customers would come by to pick up their orders, which was great for me because I did not have a reliable vehicle to make my delivers and same times I would have to go to as far as Riverstone Mall or Moneni Spar. I was only one guy but I made it work because I am resilient and do not shy away from hard work. On a typical day I would fulfill about 30 lunch orders and about 8 to 12 dinner orders. At times I would have to prepare a lunch meal of some group of people who are in a business meeting or organized groups of all sorts." He continued to explain.

Social media was the vehicle that drove Tenburgen's kitchen from just a dream of a young man from Manzini into a small but profitable business in just a matter of weeks. Facebook being one of the biggest social media site is the most easy to use, you would think then by now people would know how to make a well written, informative post, and we would have a lot of social media influencers but that is not the case because we know how to use these sites but we have not yet grasped how to build a brand with them. Which will be our next topic of research 'Social Media advertising and Social Media Influences'.

Basketball legend Kobe Bryant and daughter died in a helicopter crash

41 years old Basketball legend Kobe Bryant, and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Maria Onore Bryant and nine people were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, on Sunday.

They were on their way to the Mamba Academy near Thousand Oaks California for basketball practice, the L.A. weather was extremely foggy on that Sunday morning, and law enforcement sources reported even LAPD air support was grounded because of it. Flight tracker data shows Kobe's chopper appeared to first encounter weather issues as it was above the L.A. Zoo. It circled that area at least 6 times at a very low altitude around 266.7 meters perhaps waiting for the fog to clear.

The pilot contacted the control tower at Burbank Airport around 9:30 AM and the tower was aware the pilot had been circling for about 15 minutes. The pilot eventually headed north along the 118 freeway before turning to the west, and started following above the 101 freeway around Woodland Hills, CA.
At around 9:40 AM the weather got worse as in seriously heavy fog -- and the chopper turned south. This was critical, because they turned toward a mountainous area. The pilot suddenly and rapidly climbed from about 518.16 meters.

However, moments later at around 9:45 AM they flew into a mountain at 1700 feet. Flight tracker data shows they were flying at about 298.172 km when they crashed and moments later the plane basted into flames killing all its passenger.

Then basketball player LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal even the US president and ex president, with the whole nation took to social media to pass their condolences and say what a lose they had suffered, and we the Llor stuff had to agree that the basketball community of American and the whole world has suffered a huge blow and would like to pass our condolences not only to the Bryant family but to all the families of the people on board .
