History of Halab Today
Halab Today is a satellite TV channel that started broadcasting in the Middle East on Jan. 12, 2011 as a simple channel that included picture slides and two news tickers. It operated secretly from inside Aleppo because of safety concerns. It stood out for its fast and accurate coverage of the peaceful protests inside Aleppo, which earned it a strong level of trust throughout the city. Its success came despite the fact that those working at the time were volunteers who faced grave security risks as they were operating from inside regime territory. Halab Today has successfully transformed into a comprehensive satellite TV channel operating outside of Syria, covering the news throughout Syria using its network of journalists, and broadcasting its programs 24 hours a day.
Satellite coverage area
Halab Today broadcasts from the AB2 satellite that lays on an orbit just near the orbit of Nilesat, on the frequency 11595 vertical, symbol rate 27500 FEC automatic.
The viewer may have to adjust his/her receiving dish to the west after directing it to Nilesat in order to catch both signals of AB2 and Nilesat.
