Behind the Smoker: A Day in the Life of a Pitmaster at 2Fifty Texas BBQ

We wanted to share an exciting new video featuring our pitmaster, which was recently filmed by popular food YouTuber Danny Kim. The video showcases our famous Texas BBQ and takes you on a behind-the-scenes journey of our restaurant.

In the video, you'll see the level of care and attention that goes into creating our award-winning BBQ. Our pitmaster takes you through the multi-day process of preparing our brisket and turkey, from selecting the perfect cuts to smoking them to perfection, and featured especially in this video, A WHOLE HOG!

We're thrilled to be able to share this video with you and hope it gives you a new appreciation for the craft of BBQ. It's available now on Danny Kim's YouTube channel, so be sure to check it out!

Debby & Fernando Join the "American Culinary Corps"

We have some exciting news to share with you! Our Head Pitmaster and our CEO have been selected as part of the prestigious American Culinary Corps. This is a great honor as they are two of more than 80 chefs and culinary professionals from the United States to be part of this initiative.

The American Culinary Corps is a unique partnership between the State Department and the James Beard Foundation, which recognizes the power of food and hospitality in building bridges and bringing communities together. We are proud to be part of this mission and to represent the best of American cuisine and culture.

Many of the most meaningful conversations of our lives are held at an eating table. Since we opened our restaurant, it has become even more evident to us that food brings postures closer, builds bridges and connects us. Barbecue is a universal word and runs in the veins of America, and we can't wait to use it as a tool to understand each other and to showcase the diversity that exists in the country.

Join us for a special fundraiser
at our restaurant!

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a special fundraiser at our restaurant to support the improvement of College Park Nursery School & St. Jerome's Child Center schools. Funds raised will support improving students’ learning experiences by enhancing the existing school grounds and providing engaging outdoor learning environments for students to interact with one another, their teachers, and their community.

On Wednesday, December 14th, we will donate a portion of our sales to CPNS's fundraising efforts. And on Thursday 15th we will donate a part of our sales to St. Jerome's fundraising efforts. Bring the whole family and let's help together!

We hope that you will join us for this special event and help support CPNS & St. Jerome's in their efforts to enhance their school grounds. Every purchase you make will help make a difference for the students and the community.
