There was a beggar! While begging in the train journey, he saw Seth ji wearing a suit boot. He thought that this person looks very rich, he will definitely give me good money if I beg him. He started begging from that Seth. Seeing the beggar, that Seth said
“You always ask, do you ever give anything to anyone?”
The beggar said, "Sir, I am a beggar, I always beg from people, where is my status that I can give something to someone?"
Seth :- When you cannot give anything to anyone, then you have no right to even ask. I am a businessman and believe in transaction only, if you have something to give me then only I can give you something in return.
*Only then the station came where that Seth had to get down, he got off the train and left.*
Here the beggar started thinking about what Seth had said. The words spoken by Seth entered the heart of that beggar.
He started thinking that maybe I don't get much money in begging because I am not able to give anything to anyone in return. But I am a beggar, I am not even capable of giving anything to anyone.
But how long will I keep on begging without giving anything to the people.
The whole day passed thinking about this but he could not find any answer to his question.
The next day when he was sitting near the station, he saw some flowers which were blooming on the plants around the station.
He thought, why don't I give some flowers instead of alms to the people. He liked his idea and plucked some flowers from there.*
He reached to beg in the train. Whenever someone gave him alms, he would give some flowers to the beggar in return.
People happily kept those flowers with them.
Now the beggar used to pluck flowers everyday and in return of alms he used to distribute those flowers among the people.
Within a few days, he realized that now too many people have started begging him.
He used to pluck all the flowers near the station. As long as flowers remained with him, many people used to give him alms.
But when the flowers were finished while being distributed, then he did not even get alms, now it continued like this everyday.
One day when he was begging, he saw the same Seth sitting in the train, because of which he was inspired to give flowers instead of alms.
He immediately reached to that person and said begging, today I have some flowers to give you, you give me alms, I will give you some flowers in return.
Seth gave him some money as alms and the beggar gave him some flowers. That Seth liked this very much.
Seth :- Wow what's the matter..? Today you have also become a businessman like me, saying this, he took the flower and got down at the Seth station.*
But what was said by that Seth once again entered the heart of that beggar.
He started thinking about what that Seth had said again and again and became very happy. His eyes started shining now, he felt that now he has got the key to success in his hands by which he can change his life.
He immediately got down from the train and excitedly looked up at the sky and said in a very loud voice, “I am not a beggar, I am a businessman..*
I too can become like that Seth.. I too can become rich!
When people saw him, they thought that perhaps this beggar had gone mad, from the next day that beggar was never seen again at that station.
A year later, two persons were traveling at the same station wearing suit boots. When both saw each other, one of them bowed to the other with folded hands and said, "Did you recognize me?"
Seth :- ′′ Otherwise! Maybe we are meeting for the first time.
Beggar :- Seth ji.. You remember, we are meeting not for the first time but for the third time.*
Seth: I can't remember, when did we meet twice before?
Now the first person smiled and said:
We met twice before in the same train, I am the same beggar whom you told in the first meeting what I should do in life and in the second meeting you told me who I really am.
As a result, today I am a big flower dealer and am going to another city for this business.*
You told me the law of nature in the first meeting... according to which we get something only when we give something.
This law of exchange really works, I have felt it very well, but I always thought of myself as a beggar,
I had never thought of rising above this and when I met you for the second time, you told me that I have become a businessman. Now I understood that I have not really become a beggar but a businessman.
It's a matter of understanding...
* As long as the beggar considered himself a beggar, he remained a beggar. He considered himself a businessman, became a businessman.
