BREAKING: President Kiir has fired The Inspector General of the Police (IGP), General Majak Akec Malok, as read in Republican decrees broadcasted on state-owned TV, SSBC, this evening.

President Kiir also appointed Lt. Gen. Atem Marol Biar to the esteemed rank of General and entrusted him with the role of the new Inspector General of the Police (IGP).
