BREAKING: Hold-out Peace Groups forms coalition named ‘United People’s Alliance’

The coalition is formed by the undersigned leaders of the South Sudan Opposition Movement Alliance (SSOMA), comprising the Real - Sudan People's Liberation Movement (R-SPLM), South Sudan United Front/Army (SSUF/A); South Sudan United National Alliance (SSUNA), comprising the South Sudan People's Movement/Army (SSPM/A), National People's Movement (NPM), Upper Nile People Liberation Front (UNPLF); and National Salvation Front - Revolutionary Command Council (NAS-RCC).

The Opposition Parties are currently engaged in sustained negotiations in search of peace with the government of the Republic of South Sudan in the Tumaini Initiative under the auspices and mediation of the government of the Republic of Kenya.

FUTURE STARS FOOTBALL ACADEMY PAID A COURTESY VISIT TO DIVINE MERCY ORPHANAGE IN KABO

Today, the academy paid a courtesy visit to Divine Mercy Orphanage. The visit is part of the new year’s celebration to share the love with the children and youngsters. Divine Mercy under the leadership of Advocate Yasmin Ahmed welcomed us to their family.

“We feel happy whenever you come and see us. We’ve 71 children and youngsters and some have completed high school” quoted Yasmin.

Peter Akot one of the orphans said that he was in bad situation living with stress before coming to the orphanage. God showed me Divine Mercy which has significantly changed my life in which I came to know God and leaned a lot.

“I am Dogga from Kworjik and by seeing you here give us hope and we’re the future of the nation. If you don’t have anything to give, come and encourage us through advice.” Quoted Dogga

On behalf of the players, Dhieu encouraged them and said all the sad stories may change to joy if they chase their dreams and also respect Mama Yasmin for her time and effort.

“Don’t rely on people’s negativity, but keep pushing through. You need not to shy because your story will change one day” quote Esther Luis

Coach Gabriel said that it’s all about discipline and respect for one another that keeps you grow. Football changes lives and best players come from poor backgrounds.

“We’ve been supporting this orphanage since my work with Kush Bank and we’ll continue to do so. We have been in touch with our international director Ladulé LoSarah and has promised to connect donors to accelerate the support”. Quoted Bidali Henry

Breaking news: Governor Rin listens to Local government and Law enforcement's Minister memo presentation during the council of minister s meeting.

Lakes State Governor, Rin Tueny Mabor has listened to a memo presented by the Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agencies, Hon. Chol Kuotwel Manhom, during the Council of Ministers meeting No. 001/2025 held on January 9, 2025, in Rumbek.

The memorandum advocated for the requests made by community leaders (Chiefs) and payam authorities for the establishment of additional payams, taking into account the number of regional courts and the population size.

The proposal included the elevation of several bomas from five counties within Lakes State to the status of payams, in response to these demands.

Following extensive discussions, the Council of Ministers approved the promotion of the following bomas to payams:

1. Four bomas from Abang Payam in Yirol West County will be elevated to payams as follows:
a) Benyloom Boma to Benylom Payam
b) Botoi Payam
c) Panekar Boma to Panekar Payam
d) Panliet Boma to Panliet Payam
e) Abang Payam will retain its current status, resulting in a total of five (5) payams.

2. Billing Boma from Adior Payam in Yirol East County will be promoted to a payam.

3. Pagang Boma from Paloc Payam in Rumbek East County will be elevated to a payam.

4. Pok Boma from Aloor Payam in Rumbek North County will be promoted to a payam.

5. The headquarters of Geer Payam in Yirol West County will be relocated from Aluak Luak to Aluak Luak Gadim.

As the Assembly is currently in recess, the Governor will issue a provisional order, which will be presented to the Lakes State Transitional Legislative Assembly upon its reconvening by the Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agencies.

Coach 𝗕𝗘𝗡, has signed a new contract with Bentiu City SC as a new head coach

The Cameroonian Coach Mr. Ndongo Matubi Aka BEN, who double as the Trainer of Awan Muorkuau FA, has signed a one Year deal with Mr. Yohanis Musa Pouk, the President of the club.

Coach "Ben" received a warm reception from the Citizents players with expectations that the team will, as usual, appear as the competitor for the SSPL championship at Juba National Stadium.
