This afternoon, Hon. Natelina Aweng Abior Deng, Chairperson of the Aguok Community Association, held a meeting with H.E. Hussein Abdhalbaki Ayii Akol, Vice President for the Services Cluster, at his office.

During the meeting, H.E. Vice President Hussein congratulated Hon. Natelina Aweng Abior Deng on her election as Chairperson by the Aguok Kuei Community General Assembly, acknowledging the trust and confidence placed in her leadership. He warmly welcomed her and her delegation.

Hon. Natelina was accompanied by prominent figures, including Gen. Santino Akot Abiem, Akuac Wol Makot - Akuolakuic 2, Aker Majak Anei, Pilot Awien Kuol Guot, and others.

The discussions between the two leaders focused on key challenges and development priorities for the Aguok Kuei community, with topics including:

1. The Nyintiit Bridge project.

2. The Gogrial Town Airport initiative.

3. Renovation and support for Kiir Mayardit Primary School in Ngapathian Payam.

4. Expanding network and internet access to underserved areas in the Aguok-Kuei community.

5. Opening roads to enhance connectivity in Gogrial Town.

H.E. Vice President Hussein approved the installation of four network towers in Aguok Kuei land to address connectivity issues. He also pledged to work on the other development priorities raised. Hon. Natelina committed to following up on these initiatives to ensure the community receives the services it needs.

The meeting underscores the government’s commitment to addressing local challenges and advancing development in the Aguok Kuei community.

Monday, 13th January, 2025.

The Governor of Warrap State H.E Gen. Francis Marial Abur, officiated the final match of Apuk Olympic in Biong between Adoor and Nyang Payam respectively which ended 2:0 in favor of Nyang. Addressing the gathering, Governor Francis Marial, appreciated the leadership of Apuk Olympic for their efforts toward ending the peaceful Olympics as sports promote peace and social cohesion among each other. He urged the community to corporates with the sports leadership to promote the spirit of unity and togetherness without social or political discrimination.

In a separate development, Governor Francis Marial, proceeded to Kongor Aliek Payam of Tonj North County to access the security situation in the area for the first time since his appointment earlier in October, 2024. He applauded Kongor community for their peacefulness among themselves in Tonj North County. He urged them to continue promoting peace and social cohesion to their neighboring communities.

The Governor donated Water Yard, 6 Boreholes and 2 motorcycle for Sultan Them Anei Them, and community police in the area.
