This morning, the JDB Co-Chairs despatched three different teams of members of the Security Mechanisms to the Training Centers as directed by the Presidency to inform the Unified Forces that the incident in Magenis will be handled by the Presidency as soon as possible.

The JDB also asked the forces in the training centers to distance themselves from the confusion in Magenis and focus on the implementation of the Security arrangement so that peace is realised in our country.

Today the JDB launched the committees tasked with allocation of responsibility sharing among the forces to the R-ARCSS (SSPDF/ IG, SPLA-IO and SSOA). The committees shall work in line with the agreed command structure of the Army, NSS, Police and the other Organised forces.

The JDB Co-Chairs gave the committees seven (7) working days to complete this huge task, beginning on 1/04/2021.

This process is a step forward towards the long awaited unification of command which will then pave way to the graduation of the Necessary Unified Forces that are in the Training Centres.

The JDB congratulated the Unified Instructors in Rajaf for the degree of Unification and the Spirit of Nationalism displayed by the trainees; and also, appreciated the trainees for their sacrifices and commitment to the service of this Country. Peace ✌

RESOLUTIONS OF THE JDB's BOARD MEETING.

The Joint Defence Board had its first Meeting under the Chair of Gen. Johnson Juma Okot on 28/05/2020.

The meeting resolved the followings.

1. On the issue of the çommand of the VIP protection force, the Board agreed that nomination of the force's command will be handled by the Presidency (The Principles of the Parties)

2. The nominated and appointed VIP protection force command together with all subsequent officers in the unit, will undergo intensive leadership and orientation workshop to ensure indoctrination of a common National purpose.

3. To unify and maintain ranking within parameters of conventional practice ensuring that ranks are arrived at in accordance with the force size.

4. On rescheduling of the graduation timeline, the Board emphasized that it was impractical for the graduation process to be effected without budgetary allocation. Therefore, it was agreed that, the graduation schedule will only be revised when funds have been acquired.

5. The JTSC and the JMCC Chairpersons and Co-Chairpersons to follow up with the NTC on the issue of funding for the implementation of the Transitional Security Arrangement.

6. The JTSC to finalise its remaining activities before graduation of the forces.

7. An Agency Specialized Techincal Teams to be formed for the unification processes. These teams will commence their work once funding is secured.

The JDB today 06/05/2020, in its 12th ordinary meeting, resolves to graduate the Neccessary Unified Forces (NUF) currently in the training centers, within the period of one month begining tomorrow the 7/05/2020.

Instructors are directed to prepare these forces for graduation as soon as possible.

NTC will be requested to preposition emmergency food to the training centers and also the cantonment sites.

Forces in the centers are directed to continue to maintain social distancing to support the fight against the COVID-19.

JMCC DISPATCHED 10 TEAMS TO TRANSPORT FORCES TO TRAINING SITES.

This morning the 23/12/2029, at about 8:00AM, the leadership of JMCC under the Chair of Lt. Gen. Charles Madut Akol officially dispatched JMCC teams to cantonment sites, barracks and State HQs.

The mission of the teams is:
1. To move registered forces from cantonment sites, barracks and states HQs to the training centers where they will undergo medical screening and unified training.
2. Provide emmergency food to cantonment sites not accessible by road.
3. Register forces that missed out during the initial registration process.

This mission is meant to last for seven days only. The leadeship of JMCC requests all forces to re-assemble at the cantonment sites and barracks for easy pick up.

The JMCC therefore, calls upon the NPTC to urgently provide food supplies to the remaining cantonment sites to speed up this process of movement of forces. Peace.
