Subject: Stop the War in Lou Nuer Area

To set the record straight, the fight that took place in Waat two days ago was not initiated by us, the White Army of Lou Nuer. It was your forces, the SSDF, that started the war. The SSPDF stationed in Waat attacked our area, Wec-deng, in the early hours of Tuesday, 23rd January 2025. Therefore, we have the right to defend ourselves, our families, and our land from any terrorists, including the SSPDF.

Additionally, the SSPDF captured and invaded Waat in 2015, and since then, those forces have committed vicious human rights atrocities, including killing innocent civilians, ra**ng women and teenagers, and looting properties in Lou Nuer. The United Nations should take note of this.

We, the Lou Nuer White Army, hereby call on your government to stop attacking our area, Lou Nuer, or else we will march towards Bor and even further. We do not need salaries or development from your failed government in Juba. The majority of us have never been to Juba. We are pastoralists and farmers who produce food by cultivating the land. We are living in peace in Lou Nuer Area with what we have here.

To the self-imposed politicians, you are not representing us; you are representing yourselves, not Lou Nuer people.

We are aware of SSPDF coordinated attacks on Lou Nuer Area but the White army is ready to defending the land and ourselves and warns the terrorist government to stop the war.

In conclusion, we strongly demand the release of H.E Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon for peace to return in South Sudan.

General Johnson Olony Thubo Celebrates Christmas with Children

JUBA – General Johnson Olony Thubo, the Assistant Chief of General Staff for Mobilization and Disarmament, on Saturday celebrated Christmas with children and well-wishers at his residence, underscoring the importance of peace, unity, and hope for South Sudan’s future generations.

The celebration, held in an atmosphere of love, peace, and stability, brought together young children and members of the community. During the event, General Olony shared gifts with the children and delivered messages of encouragement, reaffirming his commitment to working tirelessly to ensure a future free from violence and the sound of guns.

He emphasized that children are the foundation of the nation and represent the generation that will, by God’s will, lead South Sudan toward development, progress, and lasting peace.

General Olony concluded the celebration by extending his Christmas greetings and best wishes to all citizens of South Sudan, calling on everyone to embrace unity, peaceful coexistence, and national harmony.

H.E.JACOB DOLLAR RUOT PAYS SURPRISE CHRISMAS EVE VISIT TO MALAKAL POC SITE

Malakal- Upper Nile State (Friday Dec 26th ,2025 )

H.E. Jacob Dollar Ruot, the Governor of Upper Nile State, on Christmas Eve paid a surprise visit to the Protection of Civilians (POC) refugee camp in Malakal.

The Governor walked around the camp premises, interacted freely with residents, and shared tea with them as a gesture of goodwill and reconciliation.
