Newly appointed deputy minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Chol Thon Balok was sworn in office at Bilpam headquarters

On the 29th April 2021, the wewly appointed deputy minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Chol Thon Balok was sworn in office by the nation chief of Justice, Hon. Chan Reec Madut

The function was organized at the ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs (Engle building) in Bilpam headquarters attends by the president of the Republic, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit.

President of the Republic, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit urged the newly appointed deputy minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Chol Thon Balok to support the revitalized Transitional government of national unity, RTGONU.

He added that Hon. Chol Thon Balok was known on his revolutionary struggles contribution during the country liberation struggles in the Sudan (1983-2005).

The current Minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Angelina Teny Jany has call on the newly appointed deputy Minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Chol Thon Balok to support the implementation of the revitalized peace agreement on the resolution of conflict in the Republic of South Sudan.

The newly appointed deputy minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Hon. Chol Thon Balok appreciate president Salva Kiir Mayardit for appointing him as the deputy minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs in the revitalized transitional government of national unity, RTGONU.

In addition, I will stand positively with my colleagues in the SSPDF specially the chief of Defense forces, Gen. Santino Deng Wol and his followers in the ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs.

Disputes Ended after State Government intervention in Maban County.

On the 27th April 2021, The Communal conflict in Maban county was resolves over disputes on the appointment of county commissioner of Maban county in the state revitalized government.

The state government in Upper Nile held two days conference organized to the local authorities and members of the communities in Maban to resolves dispute over the county commissioner appointment in the state revitalized government.

The county involves clashes over disputes on the recent appointment of Maban county commissioner, they local community clash after some members of the county opposed on the appointed commissioner of Maban county in Upper Nile state.

Hon. James Tor Monybuny, the deputy governor of Upper Nile state said the disputes was resolves as members of the communities section signed peace initiative during three days conference held by the state government in coordination with the local authority in the area.
