JUST IN: The Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal, H.E. Simon Ober Mawut, visited the Wedweil refugee camp.

The governor of NBGs visited Wedweil camp, Aweil West County amidst nationwide protests by South Sudanese citizens condemning the atrocities k!lling of South Sudanese civilians by the Sudanese Armed Forces in Wad Medani, Al Gezira State, Sudan.

During his visit, Governor Ober ordered the deployment of organized forces around the refugee settlement camp to ensure the safety and security of the refugees.

Addressing the refugees, Governor Mawut called on Sudanese traders and refugees living in Northern Bahr el Ghazal to remain calm as the state government takes swift measures to address the situation.

He also urged the citizens of Northern Bahr el Ghazal to refrain from retaliation and looting of property, emphasizing that the Sudanese traders and refugees residing in the state are also victims of the ongoing crisis in Sudan.

SAD NEWS: Woman Shot Dead in Aweil Town in Cross gunfire

Reports from Northern Bahr El Ghazal State's Capital Aweil revealed that, a woman identified as Achol Garang Ajier was tragically shot dead by a stray bullet this morning. The incident occurred during a protest that escalated tensions in the area.

Eyewitness told Aweil News Agency that demonstrators marched towards the Maper Akot Aru market for revenge, prompting the Security forces to open fire in an attempt to disperse the crowd. Unfortunately, a bullet struck the woman at her home gate, leading to her untimely death.

The protests were triggered by the killing of South Sudanese citizens in Sudan's Al Jezira State earlier this week.

KUAJOK- Looting starts in Kuajok market

Eyewitnesses said that looting of goods following the Sudan incident has started in Kuajok market.

Police officer protecting the Sudanese businessmen said they are working to contain the situation.

In Aweil and Wanyjok towns, similar chaos is said to be happening.

Meanwhile in Juba city, it started last night until this morning in multiple locations such as Jaborona, New site, Gudele, Suksita, etc has been reported.

The ongoing chaos in the country followed the killing of SouthSudanese in Wad Medani by the Sudanese Arm Forces - SAF.

When H. E the Vice of the Republic of South Sudan, Gen.Taban Deng G*i made an informed and critical statement about the non-existence of the government in the Republic of the Sudan, he was vilified. I strongly believe that he was absolutely correct in his overall assessment. One of our problems in this country is the fact that we are allergic to the truth, contrary to what the Holy Bible teaches us,tell the truth and the truth shall set us free.
Indeed, there is no a functioning government in Port Sudan. This is a hard fact we have to live with. The inhumane killing of our innocent people in Wad Medani and elsewhere in the Sudan highlights beyond any doubt the inability of General Burhan's illegitimate government in Port Sudan to protect our people as we do here to hundreds of thousands Sudanese nationals,living in our country.
As citizens of this country, we are calling our government to act decisively by taking the following actions:
1. Severe bilateral relation with Port Sudan.
2. Ask Ambassador of Port Sudan to leave this country in the next 72 hours. Our Ambassador to Port Sudan has to be called back.
3. A total shut down of the crude oil export to Port Sudan.
4. Ask China to construct mobile refinery or refineries.
5. Government of South Sudan and its international partners in the oil industry should construct a new pipeline.
6. Failure to construct the new pipeline should lead to contract cancellations and a thorough audit on environmental damage and a possible theft our crude oil. The USA oil companies must be invited to participate in the development of the oil sector in our country.
7. Let's urgently develop other economic sectors, agriculture, mining etc...
8. We can't maintain a strict neutrality in this war. At least we have to provide a moral support to the less savage and lethal terrorists.
To conclude, since oil has become a curse for our country, we therefore, have to put off its production. Kenya, Ethiopia or Uganda, just to mention a few countries in the neighborhood are rapidly developing without oil. The oil money has negatively reshaped our characters.
