on Friday 30/8/2024 the local government council lainya headed by Hon. Commissioner ROBERT JOHN MORRIS LASU has issued a local Order no-1/2024 for the formation of a committee aiming at examining the financial records approve budget and assets, all disposal of government assets.

The family of Late Dr. Aggrey Wani Kwaje of Ronyi Clan in Juba is informing relatives, uncles, inlaws, friends, Kenyi Payam and the Pojulu Community at large that the last funeral prayers of their mother Mama Regina Nasona the wife of the late Dr. Aggrey Wani Kwaje will take place on Saturday 20th April 2024 at the house of Mr. Justin Taban Aggrey Wani at munuki 107 residential area Juba before the last bus station at 01:00pm. All Clan. relatives, uncles, inlaws, friends,Kenyi Payam and the Pojulu Community are all informed.

A member of the National Parliament from Central Equatoria says illegal timber logging in Kajo Keji, Lainya and Morobo counties is now on a large scale and needs the attention of responsible authorities.

Paulino Lokudu Obede accuses individuals within the Central Equatoria State government of illicitly issuing licences to loggers that include some local and foreign companies.

Mr Obede says parliament is preparing to summon some officials over the ongoing unauthorized logging activities in Panyumbe, Morobo County.

“The whole world is fighting climate change, and we are opening a gate for destruction of environmental preservation and the biodiversity,” said Obede.
