Tiger Division commander reshuffles security team around President Kiir

Major General Philip Nyon, the commander of the Tiger Division, has announced major changes within the security team guarding President Salva Kiir.

Brigadier General Bang Wieu has been removed as head of the close presidential protection unit and replaced with Brigadier General Madut Ayai (pictured). In addition, Colonel Mawien Garang, who has long served as the president’s personal assistant, has also been dismissed.

Both officers have reportedly been barred from accessing the president or entering M4, the close protection base near the presidential residence.

The shake-up comes just a week after Maj. Gen. Nyon’s removal was swiftly reversed only hours after his replacement was announced.

Ref: Update & Summary Of The Recent Senate Meeting By University Deans' Board, Students' Executives And URC Members On The Re-opening Of The University.

The students' union executives together with URC members had a meeting with the University Deans' Board with the aim of discussing the re-opening of the university. In the discussion, students were given chance to collectively present their opinions on what best could be done to re-open the school —collectively, their contributed ideas resonated on the point of re-opening the university without feeding to students as the only option available for the prompt re-opening of the school.

On the side of the board's senators, they seconded the collective students' opinions on accepting the fact that the school should re-open without feeding program—even if it was a concern in the meeting among others that the decision affects some students who come from far regions, it was unfortunate that weighing the negative impacts of the university remaining closed suppassed the negative impacts of school re-opening without feeding programs. As of that take, it was finally crowned and officially accepted by all the senators that Dr. John Garang University should re-open without food, after having stirred up all other means in the pursuit of the meal provision but all to no outcome.

After the final decision, the senators all consensually agreed on the following resolutions:
1. University to re-open without feeding program as stated before.
2. Students' Union to write a petition informing the government on the challenges that have led to the decision of the re-opening of the university without a feeding program.
3. Students' Union and different community associations' leaders at the university from different states to work hand in hand and meet all the States' governors a

One time in Korea republic and despite the language barrier, this girl was so amazing in translating the Korean language into English, she is a political scientist by study and her linguistic interpretation was up to date without Korean ascend.

Secondly, despite having spent only one month there, my own finding was that, no beggar I came into contact with I like in Brussels where Congolese are everywhere in the city begging.

Congratulatory message

On behalf of the Kuac Area Students Association at Dr John Garang Memorial University of Sciences and Technology and on my own behalf

I would like to take this golden opportunity to express my heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected chairman of Kuac Ayok Community Hon. Salvatora Garang Mabior Wol, Deputy Chairman Hon. Makuc Makuc and other executives of Kuac Ayok Community worldwide for winning the trust of Kuac Community members.

As students of Dr. Garang University, we are indeed excited to have new leadership at the right time and we hope that the new leadership will be coherent and work with the students of Dr John Garang and other student unions as well to support students based on their challenges.

I also thank and appreciate the outgoing leadership for serving the Kuac Ayok Community for a long time
May God bless Kuac Community members to enjoy and witness the good governance of the new chairman wherever Kuac citizens stay, including Bor.

Subject: Condemnation Of The Alleged Demonstration & Stay Calm's Message To The Students' General Assembly.

Dear Students,

I hope this message finds you well. I understand that the recent update shared by Page on the alleged demonstration today at the university premises might have caused some concern and confusion among us. It is important to remember that misinformation can often spread quickly, leading to unnecessary wandering. Therefore, I urge you all to disregard it as misinformation coming from an unethical media house which has forgotten its aim, "...aim to convey accurate information..". What they have conveyed here isn't accurate because it has no basis. There is no demonstration that appears on social media, but nowhere to be seen on the ground. I condemn it!

I want to encourage each of you to take a moment to breathe deeply and stay centered as you wait for the Unions' commitment towards tackling the challenges masking the opening. As the Guild President and my entire office, we are committed to ensuring that you have accurate information and updates on next progress after the current series of follow-ups.

Dear Students , believe it that we are actively monitoring the situation and are in communication with the top administration to meet the possible part of our resumption of studies in the new academic year.

Coming in today, I have just talked with the VC on the phone this evening, and he gave me a promising assurance that the VCs and the contractors of the public universities have scheduled a meeting with the Vice president for the economic cluster, His Excellency Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel. That meeting will focus on the payment of the contractors in order to promptly provide food for the school to ease the opening.

In the meantime, colleagues, I urge you to focus on what comes via the Students' Union less we are affected by any misinformation regarding our affairs. As a famil.
