A new book in the country entitled "Hope in Darkness" with the theme "Turning Scars into Stars" by our very own South Sudanese young Authoress, Elizabeth Anyieth Mayen has left alot of it's readers emotional has the story touches their hearts.
"Hope in Darkness" is a fictional book meant to motivate and encourage the less privileged people. Young, old, disabled and non-disabled who suffer as a result of circumstances people within our communities do and subject them to. It's a book for the orphaned, mistreated and their tormentors aiming at making the latter think twice of their actions and bringing them to a realization that their day of reckoning shall surely come.
It denotes a story of Ajah, a girl who struggles to make it through in life after losing both her parents at a tender age and ends up facing the ruthlessness and cruelty of the world. The compelling story reveals the extra ordinary resilience, courage and hope of ordinary people as they seek to overcome loneliness, hardship and loss. From a mere orphaned Ajah to a lady of substance. You will be saddened and hardened by what you see here.
"Your scars don't show how much you have suffered or how much of a victim you are, but how much of a victor and survivor you are." Excerpts from the book.
