During a recent plenary of the ECOWAS Parliament with the aim of sensoring country reports, the Deputy Majority Leader II of the Sierra Leone Parliament, who is also a member of the ECOWAS Parliament Hon. Saa Emerson has continued his call on the ECOAWAS authorities to take the right measures in order to curb the rampant spate of coups in the sub region.
Hon. Lamina made a vivid case in point for Niger while suggsting the measures needed to effectively manage the situation in the sister country (Niger) as well as other having the same fate.

Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina Presents Cheque Of Over 174 Million Old Leones Surface Rent To Cluster 030
On Saturday, November 18, 2023, Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina, Member of Parliament representing Kono District and also Chairman of the Mines and Mineral Resources Oversight Committee in Parliament handed to Constituents and local authorities of Gbense Chiefdom a cheque with the whooping sum of Old Leone 174, 168, 000 being surface rent paid by Seawright and Meya mining companies.
Payment constitue 10% of surface rent paid to the Member of Paarliament of Cluster 030 to embark on development activities for the people.
