Does hard work really beat talent as most people claim?

Let me tell you one rule, which you can follow almost universally.

And the rule is very simple.

Whenever you hear that there is a principle that is believed by most people as RIGHT, you can be sure that the principle is absolutely WRONG.

In other words,

The degree of the falsehood of a statement is directly proportional to its popularity.

It is true that most people believe that hard work beats talent.

Hence, rest assured that hard work can’t beat talent.

If you don’t wish to join the gang of the majority who have lost all their self-confidence and prefer to follow the crowd, then instead of using your hard work to beat talent, do the following.

Use hard work to nurture talent.
Use your talent to beat the hard work.
Let me now explain these two principles in detail.

1. Use hard work to nurture talent

Every human being has a talent for something.

In the same way, no human being has a talent for everything.

Let's take the case of Albert Einstein.

Einstein wrote four papers in 1905, on the topics of relativity, Brownian motion, Photoelectric effect and mass-energy equivalence. [1]

All papers were so great that each paper deserved a Nobel Prize.

And he was hardly 26 years of age when he achieved this feat.

Unless you are super dumb and stupid, you don’t need convincing that Einstein was highly talented for this type of work.

It is not to say that he did not work hard.

However, he did not work hard to beat talent but rather worked hard to nurture his talent, which resulted in the creation of such great work for humanity at such a young age.

Imagine that instead of doing scientific research, Einstein had rather chosen to work very very hard to become a great soccer player!.

He would have perhaps been a failed sportsman who led a miserable life.

2. Use your talent to beat the hard work

While hard work can’t beat talent, you can use your talent to beat hard work.

As a matter of fact, you can recognise your talent only when you are using it to beat hard work.

If you wish to identify your talent, always try to find out the most efficient way to produce the result.

When you discover that in any particular area, you can produce results with much lesser effort as compared to others, you identify your talent in such an arena.

If you work too hard to succeed in a particular area, that is a sure indication that you lack talent in that area.

Hence, you have to keep experimenting with different things in life, till you find your talent.

Once you discover your talent, work hard to nourish your talent, instead of trying to beat a talent with your hard work.

Albert Einstein said this so wisely, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

A fish can never climb a tree however hard it tries since it does not have the talent for climbing a tree.

However, even a lion can’t beat a fish when it comes to swimming inside water.

In the same way, you can’t succeed in any area of life for which you don’t have the desired talent., while in the area of talent, you can zoom through success easily.

The real challenge is to identify your talent since talent is not like the beauty of a person that is visible to the naked eye.

Hence, don’t believe in the stupid popular sayings which are freely available in the marketplace.

Instead, apply your mind to find the truth yourself to lead a happy and successful life.

Now that is the most important talent you have to start developing now.

Wish you all the very best!!!

10 lesson from the book “ The IKIGAI”

1) A wise person should not ignore life's pleasures. A wise person can live with these pleasures but should always remain conscious of how easy it is to be enslaved by them.

2) Metabolism slows down 90 percent after 30 minutes of sitting.

3) We're all going to die. Some people are scared of dying. Never be afraid to die. Because you're born to die."

4) If you keep your mind and body busy, you'll be around a long time.

5) Fill your belly to 80 percent.

6) He who has a why to live for can bear with almost any how.

7) What do Japanese artisans, engineers, Zen philosophy, and cuisine have in common? Simplicity and attention to detail.

8)One of the most common mistakes among people starting to meditate is worrying about doing it "right," achieving absolute mental silence, or reaching "nirvana." The most important thing is to focus on the journey.

9)Find Your Ikigai

“Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means your ‘reason for being.’ ‘Iki’ in Japanese means ‘life,’ and ‘gai’ describes value or worth. “

10) We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

10 Lessons from the book “What They Don’t Teach You At Harvard Business School”

1) Fear is the single biggest problem people have with selling: fear of rejection, fear of failure.

2) The people who get ahead have a need, are driven to perform a task well, no matter what the task is or how mundane it may actually be.

3) As a general business rule I am dedicated to the importance of acting instead of reacting - and so never over-reacting - to or within any business situation.

4) False flattery is transparent, and can easily backfire.

5) Round numbers beg to be negotiated, usually by counter-offer round numbers. Odd numbers sound harder, more firm, less negotiable.

6) A lot of building a business is listening to your own common sense, then taking the necessary steps to turn the theories into practice.

7) It's a simple business truth that you can't stay the same size.

8)Every phone call should accomplish something.

9) Rule: a meeting's productivity is inversely proportionate to the number of people attending it.

10) I believe the way an office looks - how neat and clean it is, how streamlined it is set up - can have a profound effect on how quickly things get done.

14 Reason why you should love and married a woman who read books 📚

1. She's intelligent.
The more books she reads, the more she knows about the world. Plus, she gives her mind a good workout on a daily basis which helps keep her sharp. Constant reading is also known to improve vocabulary and writing skills.

2. She's curious.
She is curious about the world and the people and things in it. Women who read will usually have a collection of books on different topics and are eager to learn new things.

3. She serves as a great trivia partner.
As she collects books, she will also collect facts, many of them completely random. A lady full of information is a great trivia partner so make sure to bring her to your favorite bar on their trivia night.

4. She's low-maintenance.
She is used to snuggling up in bed with a cup of tea and a good book, so she knows how to just chill out and relax.

5. She's an expert conversationalist.
While many women who read are considered reserved, this doesn’t mean that they don’t have great conversations. Since she knows so much from reading books and magazines, she will probably have plenty of topics to talk about and can find ways to relate to what you are saying. And as she is used to keeping quiet and taking in information, she will probably be a great listener too.

6. She's more intimate.
Reading in itself is an intimate act. A woman who reads books knows how to give her full attention to what’s in front of her and push away all of the distractions. This skill can carry over to your more intimate moments where she is bound to give you all of her attention and love.

7. She has a great imagination.
It takes a lot of imagination to make a story come alive. As she reads, she is constantly imagining characters, colors, and scenarios. A woman with a strong imagination tends to be a lot more fun and good at coming up with ideas for dates.

8. She's well-spoken.
Since reading improves vocabulary and helps readers understand the flow of sentences better, reading ladies will be well spoken. She will surely impress your parents and your friends with how intelligent she sounds in everyday conversation.

9. She's incredibly ambitious.
It takes a bit of ambition to pick up a book and follow through with reading it. She pushes herself to keep reading even when the book gets difficult or has over 200 pages. She wants to learn and grow, usually in more than one aspect of her life.

10. She's okay with being alone.
She loves being alone with a good book and doesn’t like to be bothered once she is in the reading zone. A woman that can be alone makes a great partner because she won’t be clingy or become co-dependent on you.

11. She's a critical thinker.
It’s shown that people who read have stronger analytical skills. So, she will be a great person to talk to about tough decisions and life plans.

12. She can be entertained easily.
It won’t take much to entertain her. Women who read can easily spend hours just sitting under a tree with a good book. You won’t have to take her on expensive dates and luxury trips in order to impress her.

13. She's an amazing listener.
She is used to focusing on her stories, which doesn’t require any talking at all. This will make her a good listener since she takes in information and processes it without responding while she reads her books.

14. She will inspire you to read.
If you aren’t a reader, you will probably be inspired to pick up a book if you are dating her. She will look so happy and inspired while reading that it will make you want to do the same.

The signs of a mature person

Do you agree that psychological maturity is not determined by one's age?

How to recognize an emotionally mature person in yourself?

There're a few MAIN signs👇👇

— You are responsible for your words and actions.
— You never divide people into bad and good.
— You have learned to be grateful.
— You think first, then you do.
— You know how to set your own personal boundaries and respect others.
— You can evaluate your actions objectively.

I'd like to believe that you match all of these signs.
If it's not, then you still have some work to do and if you are reading this post, you are on the right track.

As we move into a new year ponder over this story
👇👇👇👇

MY MOTHER ONLY HAD ONE EYE

My mom only had one eye. I hated her… She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students and teachers to support the family.

There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed.

How could she do this to me? I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmates said, “EEEE, your mom only has one eye!”

I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said, “If you’re only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don’t you just die?”

My mom did not respond… I didn’t even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger. I was oblivious to her feelings.

I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her. So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.

Then, I got married. I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts. Then one day, my Mother came to visit me. She hadn’t seen me in years and she didn’t even meet her grandchildren.

When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited. I screamed at her, “How dare you come to my house and scare my children! GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!”

And to this, my mother quietly answered, “Oh, I’m so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address.” – and she disappeared out of sight.

One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.

My neighbors said that she died. I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.

“My dearest son,

I think of you all the time. I’m sorry that I came to your house and scared your children.

I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you. I’m sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

You see……..when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye. As a mother, I couldn’t stand watching you having to grow up with one eye. So I gave you mine.

I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.

With all my love to you,

Your mother.

A few important lessons I picked up from the book “The Monk who sold his Ferrari”

1. Some people die at 30, and get buried at 80 (lesson: live your life NOW

2. Cultivate your mind, not your bank account (lesson: invest in experiences and people, rather than material things)

3. do the things your fear the most (lesson: take action now, to have very few regrets laten on in life).

4. Self-examination (lesson: learning to get to know yourself in order to really improve)

5. do not under-estimate time (lesson: time is not endless. Use your time wisely while you can)

Husband said to his wife – I am going out with my friends.

She replied – Ok.

After a while, son said – Mother, i got my results for mock exams and it’s not good.

Son expected to get a scolding from his mother but to his surprise, his mother calmly said – Ok. If you work hard you will be able to do good and if not you have to repeat semester. It’s up to you.

Next day, her daughter came to her and hesitatingly said – Mother, I smashed car.

Daughter was scared that mother would get angry but to her surprise, she said – Ok. take it to car shop and get it fixed.

Person was usually irritated and grumpy, was now suddenly changed. Seeing such reactions, everyone got worried and thought if something was wrong.

Everyone came to her and asked, “Is something wrong? Why are you acting so calm?”

She smiled and replied, “It took me a long time to realize that, each person is responsible for their own life. I realized that my anguish, worrying, anxiety, stress… doesn’t solve your problems but aggravates mine.

I realized that i can only give you advice if you ask but it depends on you to follow or not. Whatever decision you take, its consequences good or bad, you will have to live with them. I am not responsible for actions of anyone.

I realized that i can only control myself. My job is to care for you, love you, encourage you but after that it all depends on you to solve you problems and find your own happiness.

Therefore, I should remain calm and let each of you solve your problems yourself.”

Everyone at home was speechless.

From that day on, the family began to function better because everyone in the house knew exactly what it is that they needed to do!

To all my amazing followers new year is already here are you happy?

Yes!, No! Either the two.

Some are happy because they are healthy, and some because their dream come true while others are not because they are on the sick mattress or going through other challenges of life whatever it is you're going through being positive is key because our power lies in our mindset which has the potential to make or break us 🙏🫂.

Did you know the new year is always a year to...

Prepare your reading list.

Increase our relationship with God
Set target
Question ourselves
Repent
Discard the past
Be true to ourselves
Be ready to learn ect

What is your biggest life advice to others?

So much of our happiness depends on how we choose to look at the world.

Your mind is a MAGNET. If you think of blessings, you attract BLESSINGS. If you think of problems, you attract PROBLEMS

It takes half of your life to discover that life is a do-it-yourself project.

No matter how great you think you are, you're not too great to look down on anyone.

Don't study because you have to. Study because knowledge is POWER.

Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose.

When you start loving yourself, you start appreciating God's goodness.

When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor.

Don't ever attach yourself to a person, a place, a company, an organization, or a project. Attach yourself to a mission, a calling, a purpose ONLY.

Somebody is lying in a hospital bed right now begging GOD for the opportunity of life you have now. Appreciate and use it prudently.

31/12/2022

Your true sense of self-worth does not decrease by criticizing anyone and does not rise by anyone's praise, your view of yourself is a real, authentic view, your value is like a piece of gold, so does the value of gold decrease if it is criticized or mocked!. People's opinions are not facts, they are just opinions and not the end of the universe.
