SLAJ Iverify played a crucial role in combating misinformation and disinformation during Sierra Leone’s 2023 general elections. Now, they are among those receiving advanced training on tackling misinformation, hate speech, and effective storytelling.

"I came into this training expecting to build on my existing knowledge, and the bar has been set even higher. As navigating the complexities of information disorders becomes more challenging, new tools are being introduced to help fact-checkers bring clarity and truth to the media. This training has not only boosted my confidence but also introduced me to new tools and storytelling techniques." – Claudia J.D Redwood-Sawyerr, Journalist/Fact Checker, SLAJ Iverify.

At 70 years old, Pa Mohamed Fornah from Mbantin Chiefdom, Pamalap, has dedicated 15 years to farming. On his 2.5-acre land, he grows rice, groundnut, cassava, and the Orange Fleshed Sweet Potato (OFSP). "I decided to plant the OFSP because of the great yield I get when I harvest," he explains. "I make up to 10,000 Leones in profit after I sell the OFSP. I want to encourage other farmers to include the OFSP as part of the other things they plant." Let's join him in planting OFSP to increase our yields and improve our communities.
