Practical Session at the NFA, in collaboration with KID-AFAN Films two-day filmmaking Masterclass at Swiss Hotel. This session was designed to empower young aspiring and established filmmakers by equipping them with essential skills in cinematography, film editing, producing, and understanding film as a business.

Through such programs, the NFA continues to inspire and support filmmakers, driving meaningful change and elevating the standards of filmmaking in our industry.

The National Film Awards (NFA) Sierra Leone is committed to fostering growth and development in the film industry through capacity-building initiatives. As part of this commitment, NFA, in collaboration with KID-AFAN Films, organized a two-day filmmaking Masterclass on January 11th and 12th at Swiss Hotel. This event was designed to empower young aspiring and established filmmakers by equipping them with essential skills in cinematography, film editing, producing, and understanding film as a business.

Through such programs, the NFA continues to inspire and support filmmakers, driving meaningful change and elevating the standards of filmmaking in our industry.

NATIONAL FILM AWARDS SIERRA LEONE PRESS RELEASE

NFA Is Back with a unique and powerful platform for celebrating film, connecting and empowering creatives, showcasing cultures and expanding horizons.

This year’s 2nd edition will be much more than just a film-awarding event, it’s going to be a diverse and comprehensive platform that celebrates every facet of filmmaking with the ideas and aims of building on talents, celebration, connection, empowerment and showcasing cultural diversity.

This year, filmmakers new and old will encounter the makers, learn from the masters, and be inspired by the best.

The theme for this 2nd edition is *“REINFORCING CREATIVITY”*. A bold, cinematic, progressive and cultural days Festival for film lovers, storytellers, and industry professionals from around the globe. this year’s edition will span through days that include Nationwide masterclasses, Specialized panel discussions, Seminar, film screening, an award ceremony and parties.

Film lovers will get the opportunity to see the blockbusters of the future before they hit the big screens but also discover old favorites with lovingly curated retrospectives and restored classics.
