POEM: Men of the World

POET: JohnDK-DPoet

Do they exist that stab you in the back after watering their ambition and promoting their growth? Yes they do, they exist in dangerous numbers with stripped animosity, oh yes they do.

Do they exist that destroy your paths of growth after whizzing with pain to have their paths plain? Yes they do, they exist in exodus without a tip of conscience, oh yes they do.

Do they exist that fan the flame of destruction for you after lifting their being from being devoured and castigated? Yes they do, they exist in surmounted number of severity without drizzles of cynicism, oh yes, they do.

Do they exist that dig your grave for evaporation after diving huff to save their drowning? Yes they do, they exist in a colossal number of vivacity reprimanding their ferocity, oh yes, they do.

Oh men of the world, they sing with their teeth but bite with their tongue, oh men of the world! Yes, they exist.

Oh men of the world, they praise with their voice but destroy with their guts. Oh men of the world! Yes, they exist.

Oh men of the world, they pray for your victory but still stand in your way. Oh men of the world! Yes, they exist.

Oh men of the world, they spit love with the mouth but harbour hate in their hearts. Oh men of the world! Yes, they exist.

Mankind: An Ode

Poet: JohnDK-DPoet

Are there individuals who betray you after tending to their own ambition and nurturing their own growth? Absolutely, they exist abundantly, harboring resentment.

Are there individuals who hinder your progress after enduring immense pain to ensure their own success? Indeed, they exist in great numbers, devoid of conscience.

Are there individuals who ignite the flames of destruction for you after pulling themselves out of the clutches of devastation? Undeniably, they exist in overwhelming severity, without a trace of skepticism.

Are there individuals who prepare your downfall after going to great lengths to save themselves from drowning? Without a doubt, they exist in an enormous measure, rebuking their own ferocity.

Oh, men of the world, they sing praises with their smiles, but deliver bites with their words. Oh, men of the world! Yes, they exist.

Oh, men of the world, they speak praises with their lips, but bring ruin with their intentions. Oh, men of the world! Yes, they exist.

Oh, men of the world, they pray for your triumph, yet continue to obstruct your path. Oh, men of the world! Yes, they exist.

Oh, men of the world, they profess love with their tongues, but harbour hate within their hearts. Oh, men of the world! Yes, they exist.

DR. SAMURA KAMARA IS MORE OF A PUPPET THAN A LEADER.

Prove me right as you sail through this very piece of mine.

On 6th February, 1968 in Washington D.C, Martin Luther King Jr., an American Civil Rights Campaigner and leader opined that "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." Having critically listened and slept over the forced response of Dr. Samura Kamara as demanded by a swindler called Adebayoh, clearly depicts how weak and docile Dr. Samura Kamara could prove us, his critics right.

As a nation that is composed of brilliant men and women in this digitally minded 21st century, we are not in any way that impotent to blindly subscribe to working in solidarity with any unruly stupidity. If you must be our leader, then, you have got to better practice what leadership truly is and not followership. If you are that poised to lead these 21st-century generational pundits, then, you have got yourself to brutally lose from the chains of that touch-and-follow mentality thereby soundly judging things from your very own intuition without being misled to have us misled.

Richly enough, Sierra Leoneans are quite aware as to how that Adebayoh kind of a guy is down to stupidity and we are not and can never degenerate to the sycophancy of mistaking you as a leader of this Republic the fact that you ignorantly drink from his cup of stupidity and mental barrenness. Chai🤣, see another enchanting Ph.D. squalor in my net after Dr. John Idriss Lahai! Self-acclaimed learned Sierra Leoneans never stop amazing me at all.🤣 Stupidity in our highest seat? No never. Thank God this has been twice revoked and adverted. Thank you, God. 🙏

True political decadence starts with the mistake of choosing the wrong, inexperienced, and touch-follow kind of leader at a given period. How could you to an extent, justify your level of vulnerability even as a Ph.D. carrier?

To Apostle Johnson Suleman, a staunch Nigerian Clergyman who is presently in Sierra Leone, 'verbal recklessness is exhibited at the premise of mental solidity. And verbal buoyancy is exhibited at the premise of mental barrenness.' As a package you could carry as well for ignorantly fanning the verbal recklessness of that brainless worm called Adebayoh, the cane came back hitting at the door of your innocent mother, leaving you in tears but with nothing learnt as a lesson. Hence, what goes around, surely comes around.

Listening to your criticism of the speech made by His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio at the 78th UN-GA perfect the 'Alhamdullilah' 🙏of God saving Sierra Leone from the worst nightmare of making you a leader of this Republic. To me, you sounded not to have eloquently flowed with the inner message of that brilliant speech fluently delivered by President Bio on that faithful and never-forgotten day in the history of the UN. Your confusion in trying to grapes and analyse what the President hammered at that August gathering is a testament that you will woefully fail us if, at the loss of our memory, you are made our leader. Debunking the democratic wizardry of President Bio authoritatively acknowledged as the father of democracy in Sierra Leone solemnly proves your insincerity trait and anonymously showcases your malice for the democratic gains made so far by this Republic.

Meanwhile, how do you intend to strengthen the democratic surveillance of Sierra Leone while your party typically practices an authoritarian kind of governance system? How do you intend to teach a man considered to be the father of democracy in the very Republic where your political party is proven to be an autocratic communist movement?

Two times Financial Secretary (NPRC & President Kabbah led SLPP government) what impacts did your legacies explore to salvage Sierra Leone's crawling economy?

5 years as Finance and Economic Development Minister (2009-2013), what impacts did your legacies have on stretching and making plain the crooked economic status of this nation?

3 years as Bank Governor (2007-2009), what impacts of your legacies can we strongly hold on to, convincing enough to have you trusted with the highest office of this nation?

6 years as Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation Minister (2012- 2017), what impacts did your blurring legacies have had and still have on our foreign relations and integrity in promoting democracy?

As the flagbearer and leader of your political party the APC, what leadership acumen have you demonstrated in charging the democratic ambience of the APC for improvement and solidly showcases your readiness to lead us as your lips had read during the June 24th elections- ‘READY TO LEAD?’

Is your political party, the APC in any way recorded to be a sound demonstrator of democracy in the first place? In simple terms, what’s the score of your APC in the exhibition of democracy in our country’s democratic credentials?

Are you that heard and listened to in the APC for your brilliant leadership propensity or you are just a sentimentally designated clown dedicated to blowing off the evil deeds of its past crafts? Are you not certainly the worst mistake ever made by the APC but projected to Sierra Leoneans to have a glimpse of your decadence or you are just a political toy projected to storm the good wills of those perfectly positioned to redeem your APC?

Quite honestly, taking orders from Adebayoh and having them invariably executed tells that you are the real PUPPY instead of that brainless Adebayoh of a guy. You led and left even your gullible supporters the pinch to have you soundly weighed on a sanity tester scale.

Save us the shenanigan Dr. Samura Kamara for we are not incarnate idiots to certainly fall in love with our oppressors. No not at all!

Have a mind of your own, with the confidence and conviction that your Ph.D. was duly earned. Have a mind of your own to establish the fact that savagery cannot take hold of your strength and have it remote without your concession.

Until then, take the back seat and allow the competent President Julius Maada to lead in serenity.

God Bless our beloved nation Sierra Leone🇸🇱.

Let the APC be rest assured that the majority of us who got President Bio resoundingly voted, will not sit by and watch them unleash any form of unrest in this country. As a brutal warning to them, we the majority are ready to reciprocate with equal proportionate force should they stick to their gun to take to the streets in the name of protest. We will not take it lightly with them this time around. Enough is enough. This madness has to stop right away.

Who the hell do the APC think they are? We are madly prepared to heal them from their artificial madness.

Just like every culture in the world, Africa would have developed at its own pace if we weren’t enslaved and colonized. The Europeans did not bring civilization into Africa, they altered African civilization.

In my head, I disagree with myself on the premise that we needed the technology they brought. Singapore, China, and India have kept their traditions but have mixed them with Western methods. Even Britain was forged through the imperialism of the Romans, Danes, Germans etc Today they have the English language.

THE APC DRAGS EU MULLER AND US EMBASSY OUTGONE REIMER TO SINKING SHAME.

APC Where is the Result You Claimed You Had?

The APC had ranted and barked widely like a toothless bulldog claiming they had full data of the recently concluded June 24th elections. What has kept this bogus and ill-fated political party from publishing the result they claimed they had remains a puzzle to us all Sierra Leoneans. Foolishly, the EU and US Embassy Ambassadors had toed line with the sinking APC to fabricate lies leaving us as critical thinkers weighing the EC-SL on a rating scale. Had the APC not threatened to publish their results should the EC-SL fail to heed their demands of getting the June 24th election results published by polling stations? The monster that has scared them from doing so has prompted us the patriotic citizens of this great Republic send our thoughts to planet Mars to help us ascertain the reasons for their undefined delay. Is it that the APC wanted to just mount unnecessary tension or wanted to gain public mercy? In whatever case, the EU Ambassador and the outgone US Ambassador remain the recent laughing stocks in that matrimonial market.😂

'APC we still dae wait for 4 d results wae ina bin say ina dae publish,' in my Krio parlance. 😂😂

Does the APC want to tell us that their matrimonial collaboration with Madam Masellah Samba Sesay of NEW, Muller of EU, and the outgone Reimer of the US Embassy had only wanted to mislead this great nation into an oasis of shallow thinking-mindedness or unnecessary chaos and pandemonium? Had they all thought that Sierra Leoneans are that dumb and gullible to fall for claims that cannot be incontrovertibly proven? How could reputable institutions like the EU and the US Embassy have allowed those two dishonest Ambassadors (Muller & Reimer) to condescend those institutions to mere ridicule, distrust, and dishonour? Unbelievable!

'APC wae ina Result?'🤣

I will not drop my pen without saying something to those fans of mine who had gotten me contacted to come after John Idriss Lahai as I did and have always done as a patriot. Sorry for not reacting exactly to your expectations and demands. Honestly, wasting time on an academic moron like John Idriss Lahai is a total waste of energy and an affront to my academic credentials. John Idriss Lahai we all know now is an academic gaga, a sickness he can never get cured from. Going down to his level is a waste of my academic pedigree. A man who cannot construct this King’s Language for credible comprehension can no longer be a target of my brilliant pen. It’s an insult to my true miketysm in this business. From every indication, John Idriss Lahai will remain an insane academic. President Bio was quite brilliant enough to have quickly detected this which is the more reason he never granted him the privilege to make a part of his administration.

For now, I'm after the bogus and ill-fated APC party. 🤪

Meanwhile, how could the APC be this dumb to believe that we can ignorantly fall for such a cheap and eyelid-pulling lie that the ICC had invited President Bio on that baseless ground they are busy propagating? Is the APC even aware of the mandates of that of the ICC? How could the ICC and the rest of the International Community be considering the APC for wrongly interpreting their honourable letter of invitation to His Excellency President Julius Maada bio?

APC is indeed a mere disgrace to its membership. How can such a political party be so insincere to wrongly interpret such an honourable letter to escape their lie of getting their package of the June 24th election results published? Is it a new tactic to get our minds diverted from their promise of getting the results of the June 24th elections published? APC what is this?🤣 Do you guys still take us all to be that gullible beyond reparation? Is this how you intend to lead Sierra Leone if given the opportunity again? Have you guys even considered how the international community may be looking at your demonstration of deceit and foolishness? Is that how you intend to gain their trust? The too many Adebayohs in the APC have subjected the entire membership to thinking indeed like the person himself, Adebayoh🤪 The word Adebayoh in present-day Sierra Leone's daily Krio parlance is a backward thinking and deceitful person capable of senselessly hampering the growth of a nation. These kinds of people are too many in the APC at the moment. 🤪

APC where are your very own portions of the June 24th elections you promised to publish? You guys must prove the EC-SL wrong as you promised us. We are waiting, please. 🤪

THE MMTU ALUMNI USA CHAPTER PLEDGED THEIR CONVIVIAL SUPPORT TO PROF. PHILIP JOHN KANU.

Good and result-oriented kind of leadership does not only attract or magnetize admiration, it as well gets great minds and developmentally driven thinkers inspired and motivated. An institution that has far long experienced the doldrums of neglect and abandonment has and is up for its magnificent form of transformation under the astute leadership of Prof. Philip John Kanu, a man widely respected, trusted, and honoured by the institution's alumni right across the world. Just yesterday, at their annual meet and greet occasion, the MMTU Alumni, USA Chapter hosted and paid an applaudable homage to Prof. Philip John Kanu for standing this tall and vigilant to make their institution great again.

This is what Martin Luther King Jr exactly meant some 60 years ago when he asserted that people should be judged by not the colour of their skin but by the content of their character. Analytically here, Sierra Leoneans must be sensible enough to embrace anyone so passionate about getting this nation built not minding his/her lineage, region, tribe or religion. This nation needs trusted people, rigid enough, and too adamant to toe corrupt lines, moreso, going the extra mile to make things happen here. These kinds of Sierra Leoneans are considered no less than our national gems. The trust, dependability, reliability, honour, and respect exalted at Prof. Philip John Kanu by the MMTU Alumni USA Chapter yesterday, are all testaments to his vigilance in upholding and exhibiting dignity, discipline, and integrity in his leadership package. To a greater extent, this Alumni has pledged to give its fullest support to the result-oriented Principal/Vice Chancellor to continue on his drive in making the MMTU unavoidably one of the best in Africa and even beyond. A pledge they have decreed to follow to the best of their ability. This is what good leadership begot.

Like Alhaji Mohamed Babatunde Cole did at Fourah Bay College/University of Sierra Leone, this chapter of the MMTU Alumni is fully energized and inspired by the great leadership acumen of Prof. Philip John Kanu to join forces with him to make the MMTU the most enviable academic institution of this Republic. This is not a far-fetching achievement, for when people get caught up with that which is right and they are willing to sacrifice for it, trust, there would be no stopping point short of victory. That Chapter of the MMTU Alumni is in full readiness to throw their overwhelming support behind a man that has saved their institution from becoming a mere mess breeding ground. Their gratitude was felt in their statements and registration of their commitments to support Prof. Philip John Kanu at all levels. Oh! how well they appreciated him for fostering, installing, and instilling discipline at all levels in the institution. He was highly and exponentially commended for these. This is what good leadership begot.

The inspirational and lip-dropping keynote address by Prof. Philip John Kanu left everyone including us that were following the occasion online deeply rooted in our souls to do what is always right not minding who is affected. What a man! Does Mark Anthony still live? If he doesn't, then, his spirit still does in people like Prof. Philip John Kanu. He is a gem, no exaggeration at all. By every means, I had statements made by every speaker about Prof. Philip John Kanu yesterday recorded as a testament to my analysis. Attached to this piece is a recorded statement from one of the speakers. Listen attentively, scale my analysis, and understand what good leadership begot.

Thank you.

PROF. PHILIP JOHN KANU, AN ORDAINED BLESSING TO THE MILTON MARGAI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY (MMTU)

2nd Edition

On the return of Prof. Philip John Kanu, an institution that was deliberately neglected and abandoned by the past regime has experienced a tremendous and the best form of transformation ever since its establishment, making it better positioned to acclaim a University status.

Today, those once demoralised students' hostels that had served as homes for giant rats and bats are on their groundbreaking rehabilitation with state-of-the-art facilities. Like never before, the construction of new hostels are as well currently in progress. The once cubic caged computer rooms have today been transformed into enviable technological laboratories fully equipped to match the desired purpose the institution was established for. The once deserted library whose bookshelves were covered in spider webs, is today transformed into an Amazonian form of book library, which students and other academics can undoubtedly bank on for any kind of research and study purpose.

In the sad absence of Prof. Philip John Kanu, the Casablanca beach near the Goderich Campus was virtually the saving restroom for especially the students as the institution then lacked comfortable restrooms. Today, such an experience is told as a tale as the institution now proudly has fully ventilated restrooms for students, staff, and visitors. Yes, those are the kinds of descriptive states the enviable Milton Margai Technical University today was in yesterday when this fine academic was humiliated and sent out of the institution. Have you as well considered how the beautifully designed and fully furnished Great Hall today was as well as a mere hall that barely had few available local hand pass chairs without even ceiling fans? Have you walked into that very Great Hall today and seen the kind of furniture and other facilities made available to make students and all comfortable?

You can't imagine that the MMTU which was on the verge of death, has a very palatable Staff Complex today, comfortable enough to leave anyone making the incontrovertible assertion that the MMTU is beating its games up for International standards. Have time to pay a visit and as well be a witness to my experience. Have I mentioned that the entire Goderich Campus is under CCTV surveillance? No more room for the unnecessary perpetration of institutional hacking practices. The MMTU can today proudly boast of duly owned firsthand vehicles available to serve different purposes regarding the University's operations.

Anyways, this piece has clocked its anticipated length. I pause to bring the recent development and those in progress at the Congo Cross and Brookfields Campuses in my next edition.

Stay Connected.

PROF. PHILIP JOHN KANU, A CONGLOMERATION AND AN EMBODIMENT OF A CHANGE DRIVER.

1st Edition

What the eyes cannot see and the ears unheard have stripped many men of their true recognition and unsung contributions. In the eyes of men, people are too quick to taint others in durable efforts to strip them of their hard-earned reputation and admiration. But as we survive as seasoned writers and staunch media warriors, our bars are set with unwavering zeal, zest, and bravado to not only amplify but as well resound and re-echo the undeletable efforts, sacrifices, and contributions of those national heroes to nation-building.

Today, my compass 🧭 takes its focus to briefly account and unearths the hardly forgotten contributions and sacrifices of a man who has been to hell and back for his stands to foster dignity and discipline in our educational sector. If any Sierra Leonean could be so sincere to his/her conscience and must have witnessed the past Ernest Bai Koroma-led APC government some six years ago, the name Prof. Philip John Kanu had hit the headlines of many APC published and unpublished articles. As a man full of the Bajaj and Apache required to take any institution to an enviable pinnacle, he was sadly crippled by the manacles of corrupt government officials in their quest to have him persuaded to toe their unstructured model of operations which later left such a unique and enviable institution ( the MMTU) battered and dilapidated.

Prof. Philip John Kanu was ostracized for simply standing tall, bold, and vigilant to restore dignity and discipline at the Milton Margai College of Education & Technology then. After the APC ensured the institution experienced the sad absence of this fine and admirable academic enthusiast, the Milton Margai College of Education & Technology was reduced to a facade of dumping ground whose students' hostels, library, and computer rooms became the homes of giant rats and bats. Those times are considered to have been the worst nightmare for that institution ever since its establishment some 60 years ago. The institution was not only neglected, abandoned, or ruined by the then Ernest Bai Koroma-led APC government but was as well dispositioned to experience the abysmal of a sinking ship offloaded to be forever deserted and entirely forgotten.

Behold, as the Lord could have it, the reign of terror on such an enviable institution was cut off as the President Bio-led New Direction administration took over the reign of power and instantaneously restored Prof. Philip John Kanu as its substantive Principal. From the abyss of neglect and abandonment, the then Milton Margai College of Education & Technology came back resurrecting and revamping to a standard of modern University status.

Was this just automatic? No not at all. It had taken the sacrifices and risks taken by just one bold man to have firmly stood his ground to project and truly live for what he saw was right. That one strong, bold, and fearless man is no less a person than the current Principal /Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Philip John Kanu. This fine academic was ostracized and inconsiderable humiliated by the then Ernest Bai Koroma-led APC government on the grounds of his being stubborn to buy their proffered corrupt practices and syndicates fomented to reap that institution off its glory and possibilities of hitting the status it has attained today. At those times, Prof. Philip John Kanu Kanu had stood against s*x for grades, monies unceremoniously extorted from poor students by unreasonable lecturers and diversion of the institution's funds for personal use among others. For taking a radical approach to say no to all those abnormalities at the institution at those times, he was dishonourably shown the exit door.

I know you are flowing swiftly with this beautiful story. But hold on just here as I bring you part 2 in my next edition. Stay Connected.
