2021 is behind us. To reflect:

🎉 We compiled, designed and edited the 20th Anniversary Issue of ENgLIST based on your amazing submissions! It was printed in June and copies are still available in the department's library (*wink wink nudge nudge*).

🎉 We have a new editor-in-chief, , and new proofreader-in-chief, , as well as a few new editors and a new social media manager!

🎉 In 2021, we had our first international collaboration with , the students' newspaper of the Troy University in Alabama. Fingers crossed we continue our collaboration this year!

🎉 In March 2021 we organized a short story workshop and a poetry workshop. The results from these online writing manias were compiled and published online, but that's not all ⬇️

🎉 We sent the poetry workshop chapbook "Conversations in Verse" and the short story workshop chapbook "Long Story Short" to print this December! You'll be able to find them at the Department of English in January 2022. We'll make sure to let you know when they drop.

If you're interested in being our new social media manager, let us know!

⏩ Forward this to your friends from other departments, too, if they'd be interested. They have to be proficient in English, however.

🧠 You don't have to have experience with managing social media and graphic design - we'll teach you!

đź“ť Experience in social media management will look GREAT on your CV!

Our Story

Hi there!

So, you want to know about ENgLIST, huh? Well, you’ve come to the right place!

ENgLIST is the journal of the English Department at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. It is produced, edited and published by students and has a long-standing tradition, with its 20th issue scheduled for publication in May 2020. Exciting, right?!

We welcome all sorts of submissions and have been known to publish articles, short stories, seminar papers, poems, various essays, interviews, you name it. If you can think of it - and it’s good – we’ll publish it! We are always on the lookout for great writing produced by our peers and enjoy helping authors improve and polish their pieces.
