Scientific cognition is a subpage of a Slovenian cognitive science magazine Črna škatla / Black Box. While the content on our main page explores cognitive science, our new subpage turns the matters around and instead looks at scientific cognition. We are exploring the how of scientific thinking. How do researchers come to new ideas? What methods do they use when they are bringing up new questions
and hypotheses? How much is their scientific process influenced by extra-scientific factors and how do they cope with it? Besides this, we are not only interested in how, but also what they are currently thinking about; we want to present their latest projects and ideas. To do so, our new subpage offers place for their words and images; we are preparing video conversations between researchers working at Slovenian institutions and researchers working abroad. In the videotalks, they discuss the role of creativity in scientific research, scientific cognition in general and their research ideas. To keep the discussions lively, we strived to record conversations between researchers from different, yet related scientific areas, so we can hear how science is done in different scientific and geographic areas.
