The Food Journal recently dined at Wo Wo Dian (窝窝店 百年包子), a steamed bun specialist with a 130-year legacy, now open at Raffles City Shopping Mall and we can’t love it enough!
Wo Wo Dian uses laomian (老面), or traditional sourdough, for their handmade buns, giving them incredible flavor and texture. Don’t worry about overwhelming spice—it’s just enough to tingle your taste buds. The food is beautifully presented with concepts like the Yin and Yang Cold Noodles, featuring both spicy and mild options.
During their Tea Time Promotion (Mondays - Thursdays, 2.30pm - 5.30pm), enjoy handmade buns for $1.90 each, and 25% off selected dishes or desserts starting from $2.90. Don’t miss the Fresh Soya Bean for $1.90 (U.P. $2.90).
It was a tough choice but if we *had* to name personal favorites, it’ll be the Three Delicacies Iced Jelly and the Poached Pear in Rice Wine for desserts!
Give this place a try when you’re in the City. Located at Basement 1 along Din Tai Fung and BrowHaus, Wo Wo Dian is happy to serve you authetic Sichuan dishes!
