Henri Charpentier, the French-inspired Japanese patisserie, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Singapore.

Known for its blend of French techniques and Japanese craftsmanship, Henri Charpentier has each cake prepared and baked daily from start to finish by a single chef rather than being assembled on a production line.

Children born on 9 October 2014—the same day Henri Charpentier first opened its doors in Singapore— will receive a special gift of a 12 cm strawberry shortcake, available for collection at one of Henri Charpentier’s six stores at PLQ Mall, 100AM, Ngee Ann City, Great World, VivoCity, and Orchard Central, from October 9 to 13, upon presentation of a valid ID.

A pop-up at Madame at 69 Tras Street will be open from 10 to 13 October 2024. Activities include:

Salon de Thé - High Tea Experience

Guests can indulge in a curated selection of Henri Charpentier’s cakes and pastries, paired with savoury treats and premium wines, cocktails, tea, or coffee crafted by Madame. The High Tea Experience culminates in a tableside service of the crêpe Suzette, flambéed as a finale.

The Atelier - The Shortcake Workshop

Led by Head Chef Kenji Yokota, this workshop at Madame will provide participants the opportunity to decorate their own 12 cm strawberry shortcake.

The Patisserie

Open for a limited time at Madame, the Patisserie offers freshly baked financiers and a select beverage menu, with exclusive, limited-edition retail packs and gifts available for purchase.

Singapore is the brand's first international location. The company has set its sights on further expanding across Southeast Asia with Singapore as its regional hub. There are plans to open more stores in Singapore as well as its first store in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2025.

The brand is also looking to deepen its existing retail partnerships in Hong Kong, as well as expand into other markets in Asia-Pacific and the UAE.

We need your help to help our animals! Please help us keep our animals happy 💙

You can help by donating new and/or second-hand items in good condition from our wish list below – our cats and dogs would love to take them off your hands!

✅ Clean towels
✅ Clean yoga mats
✅ New dog toys (soft toys, balls, chew toys)
✅ New cat toys (with no loose strings and fibres)
✅ Puzzle toys, snuffle mats, slow feeders
✅ Cat litter, p*e pads, newspaper
✅ Unopened wet food for dogs and cats*
✅ Treats for dogs (especially for training)*
✅ Treats for cats (especially lickable treats in tubes)*
* Food items should have expiry dates more than 6 months from date of donation

As most of the animals at the SPCA have medical needs and there are high chances of infections spreading within the shelter, we will not be able to accept the following:
❌ Opened or expired wet food
❌ Kibbles
❌ Used toys
❌ Clothing items
❌ Blankets, duvets, bedsheets, curtains, pillows, cushions
❌ Hamster cages

Donations have to be dropped off at the SPCA's reception desk (50 Sungei Tengah Rd, S699012) before 8pm daily. If the gate is locked, please call the reception desk (6287 5355 Ext. 9) once you reach.

If you’re sending the items via courier, parcels can be addressed to ‘Shelter Manager’.
