🍜 Bak Chor Mee with RAMEN NOODLES?

This BCM shop sees LONG QUEUES every day! Literally everyone in the coffee shop was having this BCM, and I knew I had to try it despite having to queue.

I ordered their $5.50 BCM with Mee Kia as I saw that everyone who ordered the BCM had it with Mee Kia as well.

I was BLOWN AWAY by the first bite of noodles! The noodle's texture reminded me of 🇯🇵 Japanese RAMEN NOODLES. It was thick, had a good bite, but yet QQ at the same time. The portion of noodles given was really generous as well! (I ordered the $5.50 option)

The sauce was perfectly concocted, giving each mouth a burst of sour, savoury, and spicy.

Of all the ingredients, I was impressed with the fried wantons. They were super crispy, but yet not oily. The filling was generous as well, compared to other BCM stalls. You could tell that the fried wantons were definitely HAND-MADE.

If you happen to be around UBI, I would encourage you to try this BCM. Really one of the best! Go after/before lunch time to avoid queues as the queues can get quite intense!

🇯🇵 $19.50 TEMPURA RICE BOWL SET!!!

Sometimes, you just want a good, Japanese meal. And a good Japanese meal is what you can expect at Tendon Kohaku 天丼琥珀!

This is the KOHAKU Tendon Set which comes with a bowl of Udon!

Laid on a bed of perfectly cooked Japanese short-grain rice are several ingredients such as Prawns, Chicken, Mushrooms, and other assorted vegetables, all fried to perfection in a Tempura Style!

When ordering, you can choose between white rice or multi-grain rice. You may also choose between 2 sauces: Kohaku Sauce and Spicy Sauce.

The Tempura items are fried perfectly; not oily at all, seasoned well, and comes with an excellent CRUNCH!

I opted for the Kohaku Sauce. When mixed together with the rice, it offers a blend of sweet and savoury flavours, accompanied by the satisfaction of being able to taste every single grain of rice in your mouth.

Though a little pricey (as most Japanese food are), it is value for money when it comes to portion and taste! Do try it!

2. THEN order a McChicken Ala-Carte ($2)
Total bill would be $7!

If you were to order a McChicken Meal first ($5), and then an Ala-carte Filet-O-Fish ($2.95), it would have amounted to $7.95!

😲 DAMN SHIOK $3.50 LOR MEE!

For $3.50 only, what you get is a GENEROUS bowl of Lor Mee with ingredients such as Fried Wanton, Ngoh Hiang, Pork Belly Slices, and half an egg!

This was one of the BEST LOR MEE I've eaten in a while!

The sauce was thick, properly coating and sticking to each strand of noodle. The sauce itself was sweet, but paired with the Chili, Garlic, and Vinegar, the bowl became a myriad of flavours.

My mouth was attacked by sweetness, spiciness, and sourness, all at the same time! Really damn shiok.

It was about 3PM and there wasn't much food left at Serangoon Gardens Food Center. Was so fortunate to have stumbled upon this hidden gem!

Chuan Heng Fishball Minced Meat Noodles also sells other things such as Beef Stew Noodles, and the standard Bak Chor Mee. Though I did not try the other 2, I will definitely make plans to come back to try it out!
