Congratulations .sg (Surrey Hills Deli) on their third outlet opening at Raffles Place 🎉.
Their first take away Aussie-inspired artisan sandwiches 🥪 in CBD area for working adults around the vicinity.
Glad to know that the fillings were inspired by the owner during her memories in Melbourne. Breads are also formulated by .
Love all flavours tried during media tasting especially ‘Spam the positivity’
(Spam, egg, kimchi, caramelised onion, cheddar, nori flakes, mayo) was my top favourite of all 🤤 .

There is always much joy in going to a yakitori place. Each unassuming skewer eaten fresh from the charcoal grill, fats still rendering and yet not greasy to the palate. At , I liked how the chef managed to keep each piece of chicken so juicy inside and yet crispy at first bite 💦

The menu is omakase and sake is expected. It was nice to try different cuts of chicken such as chicken oyster, though I hoped to have explored more contrasting varieties such as the innards as well. Other than chicken, there were also fish, ginko nuts and fennel skewers, chawanmushi and a bowl of thick chicken collagen ramen to make a balanced meal 😌

Apparently Kai now has a private dining further upstairs at orchard plaza, and as you would expect, much much harder to book 😮

Super duper delicious
Highly recommended to try this 👍🏻 😋

Peanut ice cream roll $6.9
Vanilla ice cream with hand roasted peanuts and coriander.
The combination of flavors and textures achieves a balance of creamy, crunchy, chewy, sweet, and nutty 😋 Remind me of Taiwan night market . Love it .

Pork Chop Fried Rice $12.9
Rice was fragrance but somehow the pork chop fillet a little tough here.

Glad to be back for their latest 3D Avant-Garde Festive Entremets and Log cake. Everything taste delicious 😋
Pic 1: Acorn - comprises a chocolate acorn shell made with 70% dark chocolate that reveals layers of chocolate mousse, yuzu crémeux, almond dacquoise, almond walnut praline with salted caramel mousse within.

Pic 2: Mushroom - is fashioned out of a classic choux puff piped with smooth gula melaka Chantilly cream and coconut pastry cream complemented with gula melaka caramel.

Pic 3: Summer Cheese - award-winning dessert which is a unique and harmonious blend of calamansi crémeux with lime jelly and pistachio dacquoise, sheathed beneath a beautiful layer of lime cream cheese, and mascarpone mousse that complements rather than overpowers.

Pic 4: Cocoa Ananas’ - bittersweet and rich chocolate notes from a combination of Manjari (64% chocolate) chocolate mousse, flourless chocolate sponge, salted crumble base, and pecan brownie is juxtaposed against an uplifting pineapple compote – white chocolate shards, which resemble pineapple rings, are artfully fanned out around the entremet for dramatic effect.

Pic 5: Alice’s Christmas Log Cake - and check out their super cute log cake this year. Got squirrel atop of it also. moist chocolate flourless sponge layered with chocolate mud biscuit, an exotic fruit crémeux, caramelised banana, and hazelnut praline crunch, then topped with an adorable 3D squirrel made from orange dark chocolate mousse.
