“Until today, I still address everyone around me with “P” — how people in Thailand show respect to those older than them — because l feel I have a lot more growing up to do, and that spirit to learn is still alive inside me,” says Jeff Satur.

Yet his message for his reads like the words of sage, refined by experience to shine even brighter in clarity and resonance, in time to come. “Yes, sometimes it’s hard, and sometimes the world isn’t as beautiful as the ones we read about in our favourite fairytales,” he says. “(But) never give up on yourself. Follow your dreams, and I’ll follow mine. Someday, we’ll sing together again.”

“As a kid, I was always told to do this and that, learn this and study that. In retrospect, those who ended up following these instructions all somehow turned out the same,” says Jeff Satur. “I really don’t like that. I don’t want all these rules and boundaries to limit who we can be, and who I could be.“

Sure enough, this multi-talented artist has carved a one-of-a-kind path only he can walk (and with nonchalant ease), traversing the artistic disciplines needed to shine on screen and on record with unbelievable speed and lithe grace.

For our June/July 2024 issue, Men's Folio Singapore speaks to Jeff Satur to find out more about his thoughts on acting and music, as well as how else he is looking challenge the status quo with his enigmatic, melodious stories.

For artistes, it is a feat to know oneself well enough to convey that with both creativity and authenticity. To understand the self is a never-ending journey that everyone takes on in life, yet those blessed with an affinity for language can delve deeper into that process by tapping on the unique nuances and sensibilities of various languages— something has been doing valiantly well in Thai, English, and most recently, Chinese, showcasing dimensions that reveal admirable maturity and complexity in thought and emotion.

But expression as an artiste is ultimately differentiated in quality via style — how a story is being told through the music. “All stories are worth telling,” says . “What makes a good story is how you tell it,” and there’s no knowing how else he might tug at our heartstrings next.

For the June/July 2024 issue, we deep dive into the head of the music maven to discover how he balances the need to be inspired with his own giving of inspiration, his thoughts on his career at present, and where he is headed to in the future next.

Our final instalment from our outing with ’s May 2024 print cover stars Fourth and Gemini culminates in an exclusive Zegna image, commemorating the launch of the house’s Summer 2024 campaign featuring Mads Mikkelsen.

Sharing Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori’s vision of lightness for the season, this new campaign sees the Global Ambassador searching for an Oasi Lino in our world, wearing iconic ZEGNA staples from the Oasi Lino collection — including the Alba Overshirt, Triple Stitch Espadrilles and the new Orizzonte II Sunglasses.

When it comes to growth, Fourth doesn’t think that much has changed since we last spoke to him, despite having expanded his talents. “I wouldn’t be so eager to say I have,” he explains. “There’s still more room for me to grow, to experience and learn new things each day. I still take every opportunity as a gift for growth.”

On the other hand, Gemini emphasised that music has always been a priority. “During my younger years, my focus leaned heavily towards music,” shares Gemini. “Acting wasn’t something I had envisioned for myself. It was only through gaining some acting experience and the opportunity to release music during a series that I became involved in both. Despite this, I still believe my passion lies more in music than in acting.”

Dressed in Zegna on the cover of the Men's Folio Singapore May 2024 issue, the duo lets us in candidly on the things that have developed them as actors and singers.

Although it may have been almost a year since .ig was featured on Men's Folio Singapore, there’s a lot that the Thai actor and singer has accomplished in the time in-between. “I was filming a new series, as well as working on a new song,” mentions Fourth. Similarly, his My School President co-lead was working on new series, along with several song releases and albums. But together, the duo ticked the box on a new first in January this year — attending the Zegna Fall Winter 2024 show in Milan with Men’s Folio.

On the cover of our May 2024 issue, Fourth and Gemini lets us in on that rare experience, as well as more on the road that has led them here.

In the moving spectacle that was the Homme Plissé Issey Miyake SS24 show, one of the chapters that contributed to the kaleidoscopic haze of exacting silhouettes is the Edge Ensemble — a display of how essential the pleat is to the modern man, a reinterpretation of the suit for someone who masterfully balances work and play.

Featuring wide, accordion pleats all over, the Edge Ensemble is woven from recycled polyester, and carries a gentle gloss while feeling dry to the touch.

By now, ATINY — the fandom name for ATEEZ — will attest to ATEEZ’s duality, on and off the stage. They may be performers by nature, but when they are not putting on the show, the members are busy fostering their strong dynamic as more than colleagues.

“I don’t think of the members as co-workers but as friends. I feel like we really know each other by eye now,” shares YEOSANG, who spurred a fellow member to leave his agency and collectively endeavour towards idol-dom. “Before I came to KQ, I was very close to YEOSANG, and I wanted to be with him regardless of whether I debuted or not,” says WOOYOUNG on his decision. “Joining this company and debuting with ATEEZ is the biggest blessing in my life.”

For Men's Folio Singapore April 2024 Duality issue, YEOSANG, WOOYOUNG, MINGI, and YUNHO are banding together to discuss their brotherly bond — one that has taken them this far in their careers, and that will continue to take them further in their odyssey toward success.

"If anything, we have grown closer because we have seen each other sweat and strive together."

ATEEZ is about to make history later this month, with an upcoming performance at Coachella, an achievement that seems more impressive when one considers the group’s beginnings in a company that only had 10 staff members. “I joined the company at the very beginning, so I have a lot of memories. Sometimes, I look at our members from afar, and it’s really rewarding to see how far we’ve come, and I go, ‘Wow, I’ve made it, and we’ve made it together,” shares .

Him and MINGI were once music academy schoolmates, who, by a stroke of luck, landed the same audition which led them to debut in ATEEZ. But, despite his “Lucky Charm” image, YUNHO is quick to attribute his luck to his fans. “I don’t think I’ve been able to win by myself. [Laughs] It’s truly because of my ATINY, who always supports me and wishes me good luck. With ATINY, I can do anything.”

For ’s Duality issue in tandem with Men's Folio Malaysia, YUNHO and MINGI of ATEEZ, alongside and , sit to divulge all the different facets of their dynamic, that has allowed the group to voyage to new frontiers.

There is a cliché that attests to something along the lines of “it’s the journey, not the destination” used to illustrate the value of savouring a process, without fixation on the end result. As trite as this catchphrase may be, there is legitimacy in its wisdom. Uncannily, these allegorical journeys and destinations come to a head when examined in the scope of the eight-piece K-group ATEEZ.

“I’ve been obsessed with hot fried chicken these days. It’s so addictive it lingers in my mind. I can’t stop thinking about it, and I can’t stop craving it. I think ATEEZ has that same charm,” shares rapper on what he believes to be the quintessence of the band.

In collaboration with Men's Folio Malaysia for the April 2024 issue, speaks with four members of ATEEZ in a quest to uncover their journeys and destinations from their explosive career thus far.

Since fame caught up to Nani Hirunkit, he has utilised pressure-release valves to navigate a balance between how he portrays himself on-screen and behind-the-scenes, with friends and family.

“I’m often misunderstood as an arrogant, distant person who’s hardly smiling — or worse still — not cheerful all the time,” says Nani. “The truth is, that is just how my face reacts to any situation, sort of like a resting face. When in actual fact I love to joke around with my friends a lot. I’m almost always cheerful. [Laughs] I hope no one sees me any other way.”

“I couldn’t hold my excitement when F4 first aired.”

Right now, Nani Hirunkit has gotten comfortable with the way things are, even as stardom was something he never envisaged in the beginning. “The way I see it, success is not as straightforward and can not be explained in the way most would think,” the 26-year-old earnestly mentions.

Born and raised in Chiang Mai, Nani developed his interest in acting the way kids do — by equal parts fate, luck, and an interest in something no one else cared about. Across his work beginning with his major acting debut as M.J. in the titular F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flower — which soared his career seemingly overnight — Tibet in Home School, and most recently Phali in Wednesday Club, Nani has only spent three years in the spotlight.

But in the Men's Folio Singapore March 2024 Monumental Beginnings issue, Nani — while in Milan to attend the Dolce&Gabbana women’s FW24 show — clearly shows how he developed plenty of experience reimagining what defines an actor in Thailand.

“I love that we haven’t lost our initial determination; we consistently work hard to achieve the shared goal of reaching the top,” said HUENINGKAI. “Lately, this dedication has been particularly evident, so I guess that’s something new for us.”

For a group who operates in complete synchronicity on stage and in chasing that feeling of ambitious euphoria, navigating at their tempo has certainly become their strong suit; but so much bigger are the stars that the youngest, as well as SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU and TAEHYUN shoot for — it is something infinitely more dazzling than the awards or the charts.

SOOBIN acknowledges that “with more flexibility and adaptability, [he] can now laugh off most situations. It seems like my mindset keeps changing. Now, I feel I have the
resilience to live confidently in any situation.”

And five years on, there is still passion amongst the boys. “My thoughts never cease; they persist and evolve,” said YEONJUN. “Amidst this, I mature, grow, and develop. I throw out a new idea, and then it develops from there.”

In the same sense, BEOMGYU bears a reverence for the stage. “It’s a platform where I can most express myself and showcase my true colours. It’s a place where my efforts manifest as results. I always yearn for more recognition, so each stage feels new.”

“I love the process of creating an album. Recording, completing the choreography, memorising it, and harmonising together is so much fun. The time waiting for the album to be released after all the preparation is the most difficult,” said TAEHYUN on
creation as a process.

There are seasons of growth, as there are its accompanying growing pains. Acknowledging these moments are what propels movement forward, deepening one’s understanding of themselves, what they stand for, and who they live for.

On the cover of the February 2024 issue, we invite TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN and HUENINGKAI to examine this shimmering season of growth we call youth.

When asked about the toss-up between his fame that’s still burgeoning and the freedom that young stars often crave, our December 2023 cover star Meerqeen is surprisingly sanguine. “Freedom? Oh certainly. I mean, that’s why we work our way to the top, isn’t it? Though I’d admit there are some things that I’m not free from, like responsibilities, which I believe come with fame, so I appreciate it nonetheless.”

"Freedom as an artist for me, is less about the work you pick and more about how you approach them."

The day after winning third place in the 2020 edition of the youth icon competition Hero Remaja, the successes that Meerqeen wished for propelled him into the proverbial celebrity fast lane. He began acting in shows which had him standing tall next to the entertainment giants that he idolised and these performances—more often than not love interests—have made him into an object of cultish admiration. But how is someone like supposed to change in what is considered a squeaky clean way or how is he planning to evolve his art in a truly meaningful way? Once again, it dials back to everything he has said over these past three years. Our December 2023 digital cover star has always found an uncompromising answer in his head and heart, and realising the feeling for a moment but in this interview, a new one flourishes.

“I like to engage in work that aligns with my interests and passions to make any job a fulfilling endeavour,” says Blue Pongtiwat. It’s that very determination which helped garner particular attention and praise to the otherwise up-and-coming actor in the Thai entertainment industry. There’s no denying that Blue Pongtiwat has got what it takes. At just 23-years-old, the actor, who — despite being just a few years into his undoubtedly young and expanding career — has already drawn connections beyond just the Thai entertainment industry. Despite being just a few years into his undoubtedly young and expanding career, the past year we witnessed our December/January 2024 cover star participating in Korean variety programmes and don many hats within fashion in a perfect representation of what Thailand has offered its past, present and future.

“Every role will help an actor to grow in a different way — that’s the most fun and special thing about performing. After working on the character of Peiming in At The Moment, I’ve been thinking a lot more about the nature of interpersonal relationships; how what two people have between them belongs just to them, and should not change because of the past,” says Austin Lin, reflecting on how his most recent project has helped him grow as a person.

There is plenty to admire in the life of the young, more-than-capable 35-year-old who gets to pursue his passion for a living, but the Taiwanese actor assures that life can be much richer if we cherish and celebrate the everyday in Men's Folio’s Celebration Issue.

It’s not often that the word “perfect” is thrown around and used literally in creative settings, but Austin Lim’s enthusiasm to explore adventurous photo concepts, his immediate ease in front of the camera and graciously warm words on set demands its application. The 35-year-old Taiwanese actor has never been afraid of a challenge, and it is with his resolute grit and fervour to experiment in his craft that he pushes our December/January 2024 issue to new heights — visually and spiritually.

“I don't think I can categorise any particular thing as a failure or a success. I think my perspective changes with each work, because I learn and feel differently each time. The only thing I have a firm perspective on is to be someone who make a positive impact on the world.” Despite being only 27, Kim Young Dae typifies a maturity reflected in industry seniors, all whilst nurturing and preserving the colourful character of his personal life. In ’s December/January 2024 issue, the actor champions his identity; one that is still growing, evolving and progressing.

It would be easier to adapt one’s personality from the fictional characters they play, especially when the formula has been tried, tested and proven to be a hit amongst fans. But for our December/January 2024 cover star Kim Young Dae, the authentic is a virtue he extends to both his work and his personal life. One that is evident via the straightforward spontaneity that cuts through an expectation of haughtiness from someone of his calibre. For our “Celebration” issue, lends a perspective balanced with authenticity in stepping into status.

“I want to balance my life better. I work too much sometimes. I need more time with my family, friends and myself,” says Bright Vachirawit in reflection of the year he has had thus far.

As the multi-hyphenate continues to add accomplishments to his career, it is easy to describe the singer-actor-CEO to be at the apex of the phenomenon. He is constantly on the move and devising ten steps ahead — acuity which has granted him such standing amongst his peers. But in a brief lull while on set, the 25-year-old embraces the still, to indulge in the highs and lows of 2023 for Men's Folio Singapore’s “Celebration” issue.

“Sometimes I wonder if this is real. I feel like I’m living my dream.”

When one has clinched so much, peaked at the pinnacle and ticked off nearly everything on their wish list, can further aspiration be within reason? Uncontestedly, Bright Vachirawit has achieved a lot; his career progressing him to a position of dealing on his own terms.

For December/January 2024, our cover star tackles the margins of fulfilment and accomplishment, measured in the depths of what has been, and what is to come.
