We had the privilege of participating in an exceptional project led by Sebastian Bae at the Center for Naval Analyses, focusing on the Maritime Domain Awareness wargame "Sentinels of the Sea." This initiative aligns with the spirit of international collaboration seen in SEACAT, an annual exercise in Singapore where over 20 nations come together to conduct naval exercises and staff-level wargames. Being part of these efforts underscores the importance of global cooperation in ensuring maritime security.
A key element of our project was a detailed map of Maritime Asia, highlighting crucial infrastructure such as undersea pipelines, data cables, ship traffic, and key LNG and harbor facilities. This map provided a comprehensive view of the regionβs strategic assets, reinforcing the importance of safeguarding these critical areas in the face of emerging maritime challenges.
