This , we are excited to share that all five 3VEREST experiences—Base Camp, Icefall, Camp 2, The Wall, and The Edge—are now fully updated to The Sandbox’s latest Game Maker engine, delivering smoother gameplay and richer interactivity than ever before!

3VEREST, a unique and immersive adventure created by Smobler, invites players to experience the thrilling journey from Base Camp to the Summit of Mount Everest—virtually.

Winner of the Best Sports Experience at The Sandbox Awards 2024, 3VEREST captures the essence of the climb while educating players about the history, culture, and environmental challenges of the Himalayan region.

Since launch, 3VEREST has garnered:
🎮 80K+ total visits
👥 62K+ unique players
⏱️ 15K+ gameplay hours
🧗‍♂️ And 1953 avatars minted—honoring the year of the first successful ascent

The game’s first chapter, Khumbu Icefall, saw a remarkable collaboration with Kenton Cool, a British adventurer renowned for his impressive expeditions including 16 summits of Mount Everest. During the 2023 climbing season, Kenton executed a groundbreaking phygital activation for Smobler by minting a Climber avatar at Everest Base Camp, 5346 meters above sea level, thereby creating the world’s highest NFT.

Building on this momentum, the second chapter, The Summit, is further enhanced by Wasfia Nazreen’s ambassadorship. Nazreen is the first and only Bangladeshi of any gender to scale all of the highest peaks in seven continents, or “Seven Summits” alongside K2, the most treacherous mountain on the planet.

She was a choice candidate given her dedication to furthering the message of empowering local communities, crediting Sherpa and other high-altitude guides from different ethnicities of Nepal, as well as her strong advocacy for environmental conservation. All of these causes are foundational pillars of Smobler’s ethos and pivotal in amplifying the 3VEREST core themes.

Post Licensing Expo: From Childhood Icons to Next-Gen Digital Worlds

At the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, we explored numerous way legendary and emerging IPs are using to expand into immersive digital worlds. We were incredibly surprised at how innovative and future-forward all of them are!

Here are the four brands / IPs we would love to co-create with:

🧠 Animotion Media Group – With flagship titles like The Fixies and Detective Finnick, Animotion creates educational and adventure-driven content. We would love to create edu-tainment content with immersive learning quests and digital classrooms featuring these IPs!

Smobler and WildBrain Partner to Launch their First Teletubbies Game in The Sandbox

Smobler, a next-generation game studio and digital architect headquartered in Singapore, is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with WildBrain, a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment, to bring the iconic Teletubbies into the Metaverse with the launch of Teletubbies: Custard Chaos on The Sandbox, a leading gaming and social platform.

Teletubbies is a truly distinctive brand—the colorful quartet broke boundaries when the content first launched in 1997 by speaking directly to kids in their language, using words and childlike mannerisms that reflect their own development. The popularity of the series continues today, allowing children to learn and grow with the Teletubbies in such a joyful way which builds a deep connection with its young audience.

In Teletubbies: Custard Chaos, fans are invited to step into a vivid reimagining of Teletubbyland on a custard-fueled quest to uncover what went wrong with the Tubby Custard Machine. One of Singapore’s most iconic venues, The Alkaff Mansion 🏰, was beautifully recreated in the Metaverse.
