Bichard Studios We are a specialist production and consultation studio with decades worth of experience in media production, the arts, live events and art consultancy.

We bring a unique and highly refined skillset to the table. Based in Stockholm we work both internationally and around Sweden to deliver unique solutions to our clients and realise our own art and film-based projects. Founded by artist filmmaker JP Bichard and performance artist and burlesque superstar Fråulein Frauke, we have expanded our vision to include a network of talented, highly focused associates.

So I was sitting on a plane (!) and started to write:a stream of verse that took form in dark characters and encounters. By the end of the flight a new poem / script outline was sitting there on my mobile.

Two years later and 'Anise Underground' is taking a first step towards realisation at the Baltic pitching Forum.

Amazing - the Metahumans are here, virtual characters with insane details and properties - I downloaded the demo and had a play with cameras and grading (liking this cine 160mm f2 lens 🤓) on my home desktop.
All footage is recorded from the live demo scene in Unreal Engine 4 and graded in the Engine and in Resolve 17 (animation and character is straight from Unreal's demo, I just played with the camera and post processing)
Game changer for indie cinematography. Can't wait for the full release.

Today's assignment- filming the royal armoury - a very technical 3d laser scan of a full suit of plate mail, crafted by master armourer - for the 3d scanning and photogrammetry project.

This year would have been the 10th year of the International Stockholm Burlesque Festival, the last 8 of which we spent establishing and growing it to become one of the leading burlesque festivals internationally.

I say this with pride and sadness: pride that all that passion, hard work and vision translated into an inclusive, diverse, q***r and strongly feminist melting pot for a huge variety of performers and styles from around the globe, sadness that we have had our beloved scene pulled from under us all as covid19 has hit and authorities have proven to be woefully inadequate in recognising live performance as an essential part of human existence.

Still, our determination to create, provoke and love of a good challenge got us here and we will continue developing, and nurturing our scenes, carrying forward our aesthetics and attitudes.

Stay provocative and risk everything - the power of the artist will always burn bright.
