I’m excited to share a weekly behind-the-scenes look at the origins of the Artist Edition. Each week, I'll reveal insights into how it all began, the talented individuals who supported me, and the unique journey that brought this project to life. Stay tuned for stories, inspirations, and more!

Get ready to dive into the early days of the Artist Edition and discover how this vision first took shape. From the initial spark of an idea to the first steps of bringing it to life, this is where it all began. Let’s uncover the moments, the challenges, and the people who made it possible.

Here is the first Hero BO. (BOSSE)
Bo Nilsson had a long career as a sound engineer and technician in music and theater production. He worked with Visfestivalen, a celebrated Swedish music festival, from 1975 to 2015, dedicating 40 years to this event. Additionally, he served as a music, theater, and service technician at Sveriges Radio, (RADIO OF SWEDEN) a position that likely involved handling sound technology, recordings, and live audio management.
His extensive work with both Visfestivalen and Sveriges Radio reflects his deep expertise in sound and service technology, along with his commitment to Swedish music and cultural production. He taught me and one of my colleagues how to operate the WAVES feature on the KORG PA5X, explaining its functions and providing detailed guidance on the usage of each parameter.

This amazing man is widely regarded as one of the foremost sound technicians in Sweden, known for his exceptional expertise in setting up audio for some of the country's most acclaimed singers, artists, and musical groups. His skill in creating high-quality live sound environments has supported performances by prominent figures in the music industry, making him a respected name in the field of sound engineering. His extensive career includes decades of work at major venues and events, consistently earning recognition for the clarity, precision, and professionalism of his setups.
During a cold Swedish winter, he dedicated his time to thoroughly exploring KORG's FX, EQ, wave settings, microphone configurations, and Max audio settings. His effort allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of these elements than we previously had.
So, if you're looking for a day where nothing can go wrong, just make sure he’s there. With the quips, the banter, and that unforgettable grin, it’s a guarantee: no frown stands a chance.
He is the driving force behind the captivating warmth of these exceptional 80s and 90s synths, as well as other remarkable patches. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for his invaluable assistance and leadership in curating the ARTIST EDITION Sounds.☺️

I hope this message finds you all well, even as the world continues to surprise us each day.

After nearly four months of sleepless nights and early mornings, I’m thrilled to announce that Artist Edition V.20 is complete!

To all registered users who have already purchased the Artist Edition V.2, it’s a true honor to share this latest release with you. We all know the challenges that come with creating on the KORG Pa5X—navigating software limitations, delayed updates, and limited communication from KORG itself made it no small feat to achieve the sound quality we strive for.

As many of you know, I juggle multiple roles in life: a father, husband, full-time worker, DJ, producer, and more. Time is precious, but I made a promise, and I’m proud to keep my word by delivering even greater sounds for all of you who are on this journey with me as part of the Global Sound Family.

Creating the Global Sound Artist Edition has been an extraordinary experience, made even more special by connecting with so many talented friends and colleagues worldwide. Thank you all for believing in me and for helping to build this incredible family where we’re united by a passion for music.

This release would not have been possible without my incredible teammates who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring it all together. I am immensely grateful to the entire Global Sound Team for their hard work, expertise, and dedication. And, of course, my heartfelt thanks go to my family, whose unwavering support has allowed me to pursue my passion and create this work for all of you.

So, how did this edition come to life?

Working alongside some of the finest studios in Sweden has been a privilege, allowing me access to brilliant musicians, producers, and an array of classic synths and instruments—from the legendary Mellotron to the iconic Roland Juno. Through my collaborations, I could borrow and sample these synths, explore state-of-the-art VSTs, plugins, and even spend nights at the studios where I dove deep into every synthesizer, drum machine, and sound imaginable.

It took persistence, patience, and a few “nerves of steel” to overcome each technical hurdle, and many sleepless nights to ensure that this edition delivers the sounds you deserve. And here we are!

Looking Ahead

Your continued support makes a difference, allowing us to offer more free updates and bring even more depth to the Artist Edition. I have so much more to share and explore with this community.
