Go after the things and people that bring you joy and when you find them, don’t deprive yourself of that joy and happiness.

Don’t think you’re not deserving of it, don’t think it’s too late for you to experience that feeling thereby sabotaging yourself of that joy.

Pursue after it with the whole of you and when you lay hold of it, embrace it, savour it, bask in it, live in it and enjoy every moment of it.

What does losing a mum feel like? It feels like nothingness and even when I try to find the words I always come with nothing.

September brought many blessings but it also brought about the loss of my mum.

My mum was light and life, was my favourite friend & person, was my biggest cheerleader, listener and supporter, she always had room to listen to my ideas, stories, gist and everything in between.
My mum was a force, something to be reckoned with, a force that couldn’t be denied, every encounter with her leaves you better and the most kindest human being I ever met and knew.

These past few days haven’t been easy, I have had to deal with anxiety and panic attacks, I keep trying to do things I always do with her like when I made a mental note to call her the other day and tell her about something on my mind and then I remember I can’t do that anymore…

Loss will make you question a lot of things but despite all of the questions popping up in my mind, the word for me this season is In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬ and “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭37‬ ‭KJV‬‬… and that’s what I’m choosing to hold on to as I go on this journey.

It will always be a September to remember.
