The democratic answer to real people power?
Is this what we need in Sweden_ it has worked wonders for the people of Ireland. In a citizens assembly, the ordinary people get a voice and the government acts on the wishes of the assembly. Is this the new model of Democracy that is needed to renew our faith in the democratic processes that run our country. After all, in a democracy it is supposed to be the will of the people that is paramount, not the will of political parties...

This is the type of Sweden I would like to live in, the good news is that it is possible. Our democratic right to choose makes this possible, use your democratic right to choose and we can make a country like this instead of one that refuses injured children from Gaza.....

Yesterday, a pile of blankets lay scattered on the ground—dirty, wet, and frozen from the cold night before. I saw a city worker come by, picking them up and putting them into what seemed like a trash bag. This morning, I walked by the same spot, and to my surprise, the blankets were freshly washed and carefully folded. It was such a heartwarming sight that brought a smile to my face. Kudos to the kind soul who took the time to do this!"

Is this really the Sweden we want, What are we allowing this right wing government to do? Do we stand by and do nothing whilst our place in the world is taken from us or do we make sure that they are NOT our government in the future? We live in a democracy, so the choice of what our government does is actually OUR decision not theirs, if this is the Sweden you want us to be then carry on voting for this same government. If you want Sweden to still be seen as a country that cares and has a humane heart then the choice to change is coming soon....Its YOUR democratic choices that give power to the way Sweden is represented in the rest of the world....
