Statement by the Board of Directors of Al-Hilal Club regarding the unfortunate events of 1st April 2023.
The entire world has followed through the satellites the unfortunate events that took place in the Cairo International Stadium on the night of the match between Great Hilal and the Al-Ahly Club of Cairo, which were premeditated by the fans of the Egyptian Al-Ahly club with an unprecedented quitting of the sportsmanship spirit, practicing indecency and boasting hateful racist speech, as well as hate speech and delusional arrogance in order to turn the stadium into a battlefield.
On the eve of that sad day, the Egyptian Al-Ahly fans descended to the bottom of racism, which was fought and is still being fought by sports regulations and laws at the local, regional, continental and international levels. Abusive chants and hate speech were shouted to describe the players of Al Hilal, their management, and the masses of the Sudanese people, the makers of civilizations and the builders of the lofty noble values, as slaves and children of dirt, in addition to disgusting chants, which the normal human tongue cannot mention in general, and in this holy month in particular.
The morality scandal, the hateful racist behavior and the advocacy of hate speech became evident in the days leading up to the match. The Egyptian media and social media sowed the seeds of this sedition and promoted it with the same slogans that were chanted by Al-Ahly fans in the stadium, and it is clear that there were rehearsals for these abuses and an elaborate plan to paralyze the movement of Al-Hilal players and the administrative staff inside and outside the stadium. Through the offensive assault on Al-Hilal players, verbally and physically, and obstructing the progress of the administrative mission and the spectators through vulgar clowning and throwing empty water bottles in light of the lack of protection of the mission by the security eleme
