Taqwā, it’s being conscious, fearing of Allāh and much more. The word “Taqwā” is derived from the verb waqã, which literally means to preserve, protect, safeguard, shield, etc.

Practicing Taqwā is maintaining a high state of consciousness and knowledge of Allāh, which motivates the believer to act righteously and avoid indulging in activities that displeases Allāh.

“Cooperate with one another in goodness and righteousness, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression. And be mindful of Allāh. Surely Allāh is severe in punishment.“ {5:2}

“Avoid committing sin, whether openly or in secret, for those who commit sin will be repaid for what they do.“ {6:120} “O believers! Patiently endure, persevere, stand on guard, and be mindful of Allāh, so you may be successful.“ {3:200}

That's why, don’t share each and every details of your life with anyone you talk to. Not everyone wants to see you as a happy person. You don’t know who will turn into your enemy tomorrow.

'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:

I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?" He (ﷺ) replied, "You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun, tuhibbul-'afwa, fa'fu 'anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me)."

[At-Tirmidhi].

وعنها قالت‏:‏ قلت‏:‏ يا رسول الله أرأيت إن علمت أي ليلة القدر ما أقول فيها‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏قولي‏:‏ اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعفُ عني‏."‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه الترمذي وقال حديث حسن صحيح‏)‏‏)‏

An Imam in Gaza who leads Taraweeh Prayers said, "There's a person who has a Down Syndrome but always attends taraweeh in the first row. Because of his syndrome his voice can be loud sometimes, and other times, he does rukoo' and sujood without the imam.

When I raise from rukoo' and say [Sami'Allaahu liman Hamidah] (Allah listens to whom praises Him), that person innocently cries out loud [Do you hear me Allah?] and when we do sujood, he innocently cries out loud [I love you Allah!]

I cannot hide my tears after salah. Someone asked me what's wrong, and I told him that, that person with Down Syndrome worships Allah better than us; it is truly us who are down.

He deals with Allah as if he sees Him! That is Ihsaan. He doesn't just worship Allah; he LOVES Allah! May we worship Allah with better love, sincerity and of course, authenticity. Ameen!

I cannot believe we are in the 2nd Ashra of already.. Time is literally slipping through our fingers. I wish we realised how scary this is..

2nd Ashra is forgiveness. May Allah forgive us all our sins. Ameen ❤🤲
