This, too, shall pass!

When my family was going through a very painful and difficult time in our life, I wondered, “How are we going to get through this one? Yep, This is the big one. It’s over us. And it doesn’t feel like, this, too, shall pass and it seems it is permanent.” — It really felt that time our hardship was like lifetimes for us.

The pain of our griefs multiplied in our minds. But I had in mind one final conclusion that settled our hearts. I remembered this verse from David, “ I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.” —Psalms 37:25

I reflected back and remembered the goodness of the Lord in our life and all the things God did through us and how He kept us through it all.

He came and did what He said that He would do. He helped us when we couldn’t help ourselves.

And today let us reflect on the same.
Think about some of the things that we worried about a year ago? 10 years ago? 20 years ago? Probably they have passed and you have enjoyed the moments how God perfected them.

How amazing that when our tough times finally passed, it has become our go-to in times of trials, over and over again. I am confident it will become the same source of grounding comfort for you as well.

Whatever pain, sorrow, or burden we are bearing, it, too, shall pass.

Let us exercise our faith and see the goodness of the Lord in spite of today. Let us witness the fruit to every good work from this day forward. There is a brighter day coming!

Hang on, this too shall pass, it won’t always be this way.
