By profession Dima is an engineer who creates the extremely complex network configurations. Living most of the day in digital spaces - protocols, routes, brains of all kinds of devices connected with the network - his consciousness reflects this digital, hidden reality (which, however, no modern city can do without), and endlessly refracts it through the prism of many sounds and rhythms.
Over the length of 40 minutes, they stretch and loop, fall apart and elegantly take on a new form. As a result, the boundaries between the synthetic and the real are finally erased, unpacking a 103 megabyte universe inside your head.

"In 2016 I worked as a teacher of English in a medical college. By that time I had a feeling that it was the time to move further and I decided to quit that job. It was that moment when a thought came to my mind that I should take the name "Svet Kotoriy Izdaet Zvuk"(Light That Produces Sound) and I have something to tell to my students through the music." - Igor recalls.
After he had left the job Igor started to write down desultory pieces of texts that were combined in his lyrics afterwards. The same mosaic effect happened to his music - samples that are used like musical seeds which had been planted in his heart in school time, now are growing out and twining his lyrics.

"Candy Somersault" is a compilation of favorite tracks, poems, conditions from 2016 to 2021. Compilation that became for Igor his flip-flop from the dark side to light.

The release is a tape reissue of a digital compilation published in May 2021. The first six buyers will also receive a mascot for your house from the artist.

Everything begins on the day of the vernal equinox. A thaw comes to the Urals and all living creatures wake up after their winter sleep.

Suddenly there is a feeling that everything is possible now. Anything at all.
Ask questions to the whole universe and get clear answers? Easy.
Disregard gravity? No problem.
Speak the languages of other planets? Waaaolf!
But the best part - the harmony that has long been missing - suddenly appears right there, and complex and confusing things turn into clear and simple. Surprised, you do not understand where harmony comes from on this cold ground, and why the ground is no longer cold at all. And if the universe is bread, why not become butter for it?

Put Me on the Bread of the Universe - is the third album by the collective gas28a. This is the most luminous work of all the band's recordings. The record was made with a guitar, an analog synthesizer, and a rhythm machine.

Here's what Sasha says about his album:
My music it's kind of diary. I listen to a track and immediately remember what was happening at the moment when I was writing it. It's like situation with smells: once you have smell that very similar to your grandma's apartment you get immersed into memories of your childhood. So, i would recommend you not to look for hidden meanings, but to take a cassette, put it in a deck and sitting in a cozy armchair to immerse yourself in the album, and then come up with your own, innermost meanings.

Faktura is happy to present the first full-length album by Alexander Psoriazov, who releases music under the name Psor.

Sasha is a bedroom producer and music digger from Yekaterinburg. He has blog called Nonames and also he is co-founder of local label called EMUP Label.

Psor has been making music since 2008. In small circles he is known for his passion to search for obscure, unknown and interesting music in the corners of the Internet and especially in ex-USSR countries.

One day morning it's just a collection of successful tracks from last several years. Blend of records tells us story of moods similar to each other, but manifesting themselves at different intervals.

"I was driven to this music by images of an astronaut coming from somewhere, exploring space and distant planets. It's extremely important for him to find something. And I think it's important not only for him, but for all of humanity. It's not easy for him, of course. To be away from everyone, to be alone with himself, to be in emptiness most of the time, to observe, to almost feel emptiness, is unimaginably hard, but it is a necessity. You can go crazy that way, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. After all, having realized and comprehended emptiness (whether in the world around him or in himself), one realizes that normality is relative to the point of absurdity. At the same time, he feels like a witness to the beautiful; he feels like a man who has managed to touch the greatness of the universe, because on those distant planets and in outer space he sees many phenomena infinitely beautiful and previously unimaginable to him."

Звуковой слепок эмоциональных состояний принимает тягучую форму. Эксперименты с цифровым синтезом и диссонансные эмбиентные пассажи создают необходимое пространство без времени, где можно укрыться от внешнего мира. От "разрушения разума" до "вознесения" проходит каких-то 18 минут. Однако, за это время - получается нырнуть так глубоко, что не помнишь, где начало.

Transgression is a gesture taken to the edge, an attempt to cross over the edge of what is possible.
The sound imprint of emotional states takes on a viscous form. Experiments with digital synthesis and dissonant ambient passages create the necessary space without time, where one can take shelter from the outside world. From "mind erosion" to " reaching haven" it takes only 18 minutes. However, during this time - it is enough to dive so deep that you do not remember where the beginning is.

The Raz. Rabotka - Zvuki Urala

Hard overloaded rhythm is replaced by a quiet ambient and passes into a folk song, which is sung with a disturbed guitar. It all conveys the dramatic and inscrutable fate of the people who tell their stories throughout the album. This work is a postmodern grotesque that reminds us of a side of life we don't want to see.

This is a reissue of the digital album self-released by the musicians in June 2020. Reissue is on cassette, with new artwork and mastering.
The reissue includes bonus tracks available only on tape.

Open call на лабораторию по саунд-арту с художниками из Великобритании. Участие очное.

С 20 января по 25 февраля 2022 года пройдет лаборатория по саунд-арту от британских художников Сони Киллман и Рейдела Довера.
Лаборатория состоит из двух тематических блоков:

- Первый от художницы Сони Киллман создан для тех, кому интересны иммерсивные звуковые ландшафты и изучение новых технологий и способов для создания музыки и визуальных образов.
- Второй от визуального художника Рейдела Довера сосредоточен на исследовании потенциала звука как посредника скульптуры. На курсе будут обозначены основные техники сэмплирования и обработки звука, в числе которых растягивание звука по времени, пространственные проекции и манипуляции с записанным звуком.

Требования к участникам лаборатории:

• Заполнить заявку на участие до 10 января 2021 по ссылке ниже
• Открытость и чуткий слух
• Знание английского языка не ниже уровня intermediate.

Zvuki Urala is the debut album by two musicians from Yekaterinburg - ThreePack and Chish.
The record is frighteningly realistic, as it uses fragments of crime news reports from the Television Agency of the Urals, which produces the program "Nine and a Half". This program has been aired on regional television since 1994 and is very popular. They often reflect the realities of marginal life in the Urals.
