Once upon a time I was 18 years old. Yes Yes. And this happened not so long ago))) My teacher asked me what I would like to play. I then chose the viola concerto by Andrei Eshpai, written for Yuri Bashmet (1987). And it so happened that no one has played him yet except Bashmet himself. This wonderful music became my first “contemporary music” in my life. Thanks to the fact that this happened during my professional “maturation”, I continued to be hopeful about everything that was written by composers in our time. I knew how important it was to have the right repertoire. I knew that music could become an extension of myself, could teach me, could elevate me, and could reward me. My next work was the Concerto for viola and orchestra by B. Bartok. I was already ready for this. It is thanks to Eshpai. Many years have passed since then. I have played Bartok more than once. And Eshpai’s concert... it sounded in my head all these years. On April 24, both of these concertos will be performed in Krasnoyarsk. This is happiness! And even greater happiness is that my favorite concert of Tolibkhon Shakhidi Tolib Shakhidi “Agar” will also be performed! So in one evening I will perform THREE VIOLA CONCERTOS WITH ORCHESTRA! The Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of V. Lande will help me with this! Why am I telling you about this? I guess I'm a braggart))))
